E3 2014 Highlights: Sony Conference

Last week Sony ended day zero of E3 2014 with their press conference where they revealed tons of new games that fans have been eagerly waiting for and follow ups to existing franchises. Lets get right into the highlights from this years Sony E3 press conference.

Following some new Destiny footage Sony announced that they will be releasing a white PS4 this September with the game bundled in. Everyone who buys this bundle will also receive a free 30 day trial for PlayStation Plus. Sony's PlayStation TV will finally be making its way to the west later this year for a low price of $99.99. In addition the Youtube app with also be coming soon.

As expected, Grand Theft Auto V will be making its way to PS4 with no announcement of a Xbox One or even PC release in site. Players were glad to know that they will be able to transfer over their character data from the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions to the PS4 version and pick up where they left off. On a related note, The Last of Us will also be coming to PS4 including all of the downloadable content released thus far. Players can pick up the remastered version this July.

Project Beast was shown off with its new name BloodBorne with an epicly violent trailer. The PS4 exclusive is set to release some time in 2015. On a completely different note, Little Big Planet 3 was announced for PS4 and this time around Sackboy will be joined by three new friends each with their own unique abilities. Sony assured fans that the new title will be available this November.

Order 1886, the upcoming third party shooter from Ready At Dawn was back at E3 this year with a new trailer filled with gameplay and cutscenes. An early 2015 release date was given to one of the most anticipated PS4 exclusives. Another exclusive that drew much attention was Suda 51's Let It Die. Even with vague amount of information shown it proved to be one of the biggest highlights of Sony's press conference.

Giant Squid showed off their beautiful new project ABZU that looked like it will be worth the wait. Art director Matt Nava of Journey fame brings the feel of the 2012 game to this new underwater experience. A new title Entwined was shown off for the first time and was avaliable on PS4 shortly after the conference, with the PS3 and Vita versions coming soon.

The final game in the Batman Arkham franchise Batman Arkham Knight got a hefty new trailer that definaly pleased fans and hyped them up for the 2015 release. Despite it already releasing online a day before Konami played their groundbreaking new trailer for Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain. Check it out below if you haven't already.

One of Sony's most beloved franchises Ratchet and Clank will not only be getting a movie in 2015 but it was revealed that a PS4 re-imagining of the first game is in production.

To round off their press conference Sony and Naughty Dog gave us a teaser trailer for the fourth game in one of their most popular francies, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. With the sleaker looking graphics shown off so far there is no doubt that Naughty Dog will bow us away in the next coming months with brand new trailers.
