Welcome to this month's PS Vita round-up, where we are going to talk about demons, crazy bears, and LEGO.
After a few dry months, we're finally back with the PS Vita Round-Up and we're ready to start off the year with a bang. Looking forward into February, we have a couple of exciting titles to highlight, so dust off that twin analog stick portable, charge it up, and throw in your pre-orders!
Toukiden: The Age of Demons
The PS Vita is becoming quite the home for monster hunting style games. Toukiden: The Age of Demons looks to continue that tradition by bringing a new experience in oni slaying. Customize your warrior, choose a weapon that best suits your playstyle, and get to tackling the biggest of enemies.
Toukiden will feature many missions that can be taken on single handedly or with NPC allies. Or players can choose to go online or ad-hoc with a friend to take down missions in co-op. Toukiden is due to release in North America on February 11th, and in Europe on the 14th.
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc
So you're an ordinary kid accepted into a prestigious school. Sounds great right? That is until you fall unconscious, are brought to an assembly with the rest of them, confronted by a psychotic exploding robot bear, and told you have to kill each other without getting caught in order to escape. Any questions?
Donganronpa pits your wits against fellow attendees as you risk your life to solve murders and keep your own head about your shoulders. The gameplay is said to mesh the investigative aspect of the Phoenix Wright series with the storytelling style of 999 and Zero Escape. It's due to release exclusively to PS Vita in North America on February 11th and Europe on the 14th.
Ys: Memories of Celceta
After a long wait, Europe will finally be able to get their hands on this fast pace action RPG classic. Released in November for North America, Europe will see this hit shelves on February 21st. There's also a digital release set for the 25th.
To catch people up, Memories of Celceta is the craftwork of Nihon Falcom who are makers of the original Ys series and with this title we get to see their new take on Ys IV. You take control of Adol Christin who seeks to recover his identity, meet companions, and fight across landscapes and deep dungeons.
The LEGO Movie Videogame
Emmet is an average person mistaken to be an extraordinary person meant to save the world. He's quickly drafted into a team set on stopping an evil tyrant even though he's in no way prepared to embark on such a quest. That's the role you'll fill as you play this game adaptation of The Lego Movie. This game also features another 90 characters including Batman, Superman, and Gandalf.
Similar to previous Lego titles, you'll be smashing Legos, collecting items, and following a story that takes you from level to level. However this time the game's visual style will meet the similar realistic LEGO motion featured in the movie. While not a set date yet, this title will release on PS Vita sometime in February.
That wraps up February's edition of the PS Vita Round-Up. Keep in mind that all dates and releases are subject to change. If you have any titles you're excited for, please leave us a comment below. Be sure to check back next month as we explore the coming months for the PS Vita platform!
