My choice would be FarCry 3, that just came out of left field at E3 this year. No one was really expecting it.

I'm gonna say The Last of Us, that game is a new IP while the other games listed are sequels/spin offs. New is good in my opinion.

I loved how Naughty Dog was trying to keep a secret for so long, personally I would of spilled the beans in the first month.

I'm gonna have to agree with others on The Last Of Us. It came out of nowhere (well, we knew they were working on something after UC3 that wasn't UC).

When I seen the clip I was flipping out (and I don't do that often). UC awesomeness turned into a survival horror looking game, I'm jazzed.

Rest are rehashes and dead horses.

Remember, this isn't Best New IP, it's Best Reveal. Sequel or not, the only ones that I was properly impressed by were FarCry 3, as mentioned earlier, Rainbox Six Patriots (been waiting for a new R6 game since forever) and SC2: Heart of the Swarm.

The Last of Us was surprising, but I wasn't quite as taken by it compared to the others.

The Last of Us probably gets my vote. When wind got around about the game, it being a PS3 exclusive, and a somewhat lukewarm teaser, I was all "meh". Then the VGA reveal trailer and learning that it was being developed by frakin' NaughtyDog. Then everybody got excited. I sure was more interested.

Ya, I understand that.. It's just hard to go "whoa!" to a reveal when you know it's the same of the same. That's all I'm getting at.

Oh ya, I can understand that. I just personally feel there's more to a reveal than just brand new. Like when a reveal plays on nostalgia, or when actual gameplay footage is demo'd, it really works to draw me in.

I thought this was "Best Reveal" not "Best Nostalgia."

The Last of Us made us say "whoa" we thought it was an awesome reveal. When we heard Naughty Dog was doing this we were like "double Whoa all the way across the sky(well at least I was)."

Were just saying our opinions, I thought we had a right to that.
