yeah, in order to save in the oldstyle versions, you have to rest (via inn, or sleeping bag/tent/cottage) which you can't do inside dungeons.

As extensively as I can...so as long as you're committed to hot-feet, then yeah...monsters won't nab on ya Big Grin

That's good to know then. I'd probably blow all 99 of my potions before I get even halfway through, but that's interesting ^_^

not really...I only had to use 15 at most...and that's also considering I spent AGES in there trying to figure out the maze

btw, I feel I should really note this

It is funny that you mention that. I think it actually is shorter than last week's, but at the same time, it was also a little more difficult to cover than last week's as well. Also, it might be worth mentioning that it took a lot more time for me to reach the checkpoint in week 2 than it did in week 1 (but at the same time, I was also focusing a little more on grinding to ensure I could make it through earth cave and Mt. Gulg)

Another interesting thing to note, we barely covered any land in week 1, we just bounced back and forth between locations that were simply a small trip in-between for the most part. to sail from Melmond to Crescent Lake was a voyage across 2 quadrants of the world.

I suppose the length of this one could simply depend on how lost you got in the dungeons. I also had trouble finding Crescent Lake, and spent a bit of time grinding.

Lots of early-game grinding meant the first checkpoint took me a while to reach, but that's probably balanced by being over-levelled for this section of the game (everyone is level 33 atm).

I found that this makes them like paper compared to my Warrior of Light. The warrior is the only member of my team not to die yet.
I've noticed this as well. Every time I get a new item, I immediately try to equip it on everyone else, then resort to giving it to my Fighter. XD

As Zero suggested, you can stop where ever you like, just don't carry on with any of the main story quests. You can spend the rest of the week grinding on the world map now, if you like. Smile

Malirith defeated and another checkpoint reached Smile

Really starting to feel the effects of four red mages now, I'm not allowed spells beyond level 5 and my equipment is rather limited. As I say though, I'm over-levelled so getting by is easier than it could be.

Class-up quests are available next week, so that should help out a bit. Smile

After much getting lost (yeah I'm terrible), I just entered the earth cavern for second time with the staff. At level 21 now, so everything just dies fast. So I guess there's one upside to being lost all the time. Just loaded up on level 5 spells too woot!
