Cid and Vanille Featured in Latest Final Fantasy XIII Screens

Hey guys, I just posted this story on our subsite, FinalFantasyUnion.com:

Final Fantasy XIII's Cid and Oerba Dia Vanille are featured in Square Enix's latest onslaught of screens. All the shots are of in-game graphics, with Cid in a few shots with Lightning, Snow, and Oerba Yun Fang.

Vanille pairs up with her summon as well, Hecatoncheir, in a number of battle shots. She even pulls out finger guns like Liquid Ocelot in Metal Gear Solid 4, nice.

I'd post the screens in this thread, but they're too big and there's too many! So check them out in the story, and discuss!

I love Vanille. So cheeky, yet kinda badass.
A screen full of numbers is the way I like my RPG's. :P

Yeah man, reminds me of a few of Barret's limit breaks >D. I'm still kinda iffy about these summons in battle though, when I played it at TGS they were basically untouchable. However, it was all in Japanese, and I had no clue what I was doing because of that xD. Hopefully they're not overpowered, and if they are, they're hard to power up!

Normally at events like TGS/E3 etcetera, they make the characters & summons extremely overpowered so people don't die in the demo and they can get the research they need to write about the game.
As you know, not many games journalists play games very well lol.

It happened with FF XIV at gamescom this year. The characters were buffed to the max, so it wouldn't surprise me if they did this with the summons on XIII.

Yeah no kidding, it's weird to see that in person still though. Like at E3, almost everyone I played a co-op or multiplayer game with were TERRIBLE.

Anywho, now I'm sort of tempted to write an article about Vanille, they're really spinning her as eye candy, someone needs to blatantly call SE out xD.

Cid looks like a pretty cool character so far,(If you hadn't already figured that out by my avatar xD) And yeah, OMG Vanille!

These were my exact thoughts.
The problem is that they sometimes forget that hot characters need some depth too.

I'm not complaining about it too much though...
