I really really want them to remake ffvii since the graphics will be spectacular like in the movie, so im all for it BUT i would really want another story to go along with it like they did with FFX & FFX-2. I want them to make another ffvii using the same fighting style as ff7 because i really enjoyed it. They could use all the old characters except for the ones who are dead of of course. CLOUD, TIFA, BARRET, RED XIII, CID, VINCENT, YUFFIE, and they could add SHELKE as the 8th member and to make the 3x3x3 teams even add one more character maybe they could do something with CAIT SITH or create a new member they could use one of the WRO members there all pretty young. I guess i really just want to travel around that world again in the same way i did with ff7 not like cerberus and crisis core (which are very good games don't get me wrong) but nothing beats the traditional ff7 way were u can go wherever u want and fight along with ur team. FFVII remake will be awesome but repetitive since most of us have played it like a bazillion times. so yeah im just saying thats what id want
![]() thats what i wanted to say cuz in cerberus and crisis core u cant go around the whole world it like only specific areas and ur restricted on what u can see

I'd like to see another FF-VII game as well, but I don't think its going to happen anytime soon, Nomura has Versus and Agito to worry about.
Also, double posting is against the rules. Try not to do it again. Your posts will be merged. |

As long as they don't make it pure fan-service like X-2. A sequel shouldn't be called "VII-2" either; I'd prefer (and expect) something more imaginative like Dirge of Cerberus, Advent Children and Crisis Core.

All of those games needed you to already be a fan of the original though.
Crisis Core is not enjoyable as a stand alone title. To make a good sequel/prequel, I think that you really need to create something that can stand alone, rather than just being a "spin off".

I agree with astharis. Nomura seems to make all of his games with the newb in mind. I love all of his games, so I guess it must work for him.

I agree with all your opinions. It definitely needs to feel like a new experience for anyone who's played the original FF7, and also needs to be immersive and innovative for anyone new to the series, like adding a couple combat tweeks and maybe some new enemies or dungeons. I too think it should be put into CG like DoC and AC, while still maintaining what the original cutscenes felt like. Nomura keeps refusing to make such a remake, and if he ever finally does decide to remake it, it won't be for a really long time. At least until then I can play FF7 on my PSP.

@soccerdude - I think an FF VII remake would be on PS3. I'm sure Sony had some involvment in the original, but even if they hadn't VII was on Playstation anyway. Microsoft would no doubt want in on a remake deal but it depends how hard Sony would defend it.
