Default BioShock 2

Who else preordered BioShock 2? I'm so excited about this game! I wanted to get the Special Edition but I didn't think $99 US was worth it. (Although I really want the art book and Rapture propaganda posters.) I'm currently replaying the PS3 version of BioShock because my PC broke a while back. (LOL, I think I'm becoming a trophy whore !) Anddddd... multiplayer!!

Anyway...

Show yer BioShock love, yo! :O

The game looks good, but I'm thinking its not going to be as good as the first game. Ken Levine, the writer of the first game, is NOT in any way affiliated with the development of BioShock 2(hes working on a different game), so I think the story might not be as good this time around.

Plus a multiplayer that looks slightly tacked on..eh, I'm reluctant.

Bioshock 2 might be a game that i get. TBH, im not a big fan of the first. Although on many occasions i have been swayed by a sequel. I don't see this game being a stellar or much different from the first one. Ill try it though.

This is pretty much exactly what I have read in reviews. It is a good game, but the story isn't really what it was in the first game. Metacritic scores are down on the first game across all platforms too. I've never really found BioShock that appealing anyway, so I won't be getting it.

I'm pretty much the same. I need to save money so I'll will only be buying top-draw games, or games that I personally think I will enjoy. I may pick it up in a few months in the summer.

I was thinking about getting it, but after when i read in a few reviews, it seems that its pretty much the same with a few changes here and there that would not be a game maker for me. I'll wont be buying this one i might rent it though.

pfft Reviews, so far i've seen it get a 93 from PSM3 magazine and a 9.1 from IGN
Metacritic is shite, build your own opinions people, i know you want to check it out as much as you can before spending your hard-earned cash on it but Metacritic is a number, not an opinion.
Sure it's not as good as the first but how many other series' have followed the same pattern?

Bioshock 2 is good, not as good as the first but it holds true to the first game, the story is ok but at times it does feel like they put this plot together just to make a sequel, sound familiar? Modern Warfare 2 is the same. Now most people would claim to have bought MW2 for the multiplayer but i didn't, i liked the single player in the first game and wanted to carry on with the story, sadly MW2 decided to throw that out the window and give me 5 hours of gameplay followed by Spec-Ops.
Bioshock 2's single player has kept me entertained for the best part of 12 hours with multiplayer to follow which so far has been pretty decent.

All I'm saying is make your own opinion, don't follow other people's
I could've dismissed this game in a heartbeat by looking at Metacritic but then i wouldn't have been entertained for those 12 hours

Btw, I would've given it an 8.7 if it were up to me xD

You can't quote specific review scores, and then say that Metacritic is shite! Metacritic shows the general opinion on a game, and it shows BioShock 2 to be a very good game. I was just saying that if you didn't like the first one, you won't like this one. Or telling people not to expect anything particularly new, that's all.
