Default Do you want a Final Fantasy VII Remake?

The possibility of a Final Fantasy VII remake is probably one of the most speculated gaming things of all time. There are those who think it would be a godsend, and others who don't think the original should be spoilt.

Which camp are you in?

I'm leaning towards the No sides of things, while it would be good to relive the game in up-to-date graphics. I think I've already played VII far too many times now. I just think it would be better to spend time on something we haven't seen, cause after all if they remade VII it would have to be close to if not the exact same setup.

Gamers today are really spoilt with graphics, etc, so probably wouldn't pick up the original FFVII as first time players.
That's exactly it, also agree that I suppose a remake would be good in the sense for the younger generation that did miss out on it the first time and arn't keen to go back to that kinda graphic era.

Howdy I know your all talking remake for FFVII and moving ahead but did you know that there was a remake for the Famicom. Seriously crazy thing I try to play on a emulator some. No matter what machine they remake these games on its the characters and story line that will carry it. The graphics never was what made the Final Fantasy saga, it was the adventure that you took and then the music in my opinion. I think this is why Square has been so successful in all of its remakes for each platform, over and over again. I would totally like to see remake of this one.

That was a pirate-made game, although good for what they usually do (not just being a NES'd SNES game).

And on the subject of a remake, wouldn't there be issues with places like the Wall Market (specifically, *those* scenes), ratings-wise, since soccermoms would go apeshit if they saw it in this day and age?

Not sure what you mean, it was made by a real company and sold throughout China as a real product. It was made on the Famicom format if you read the article. "Pirate-made game" seems to imply it was home brew and it was fair from that, it was a full remake of the game. Anyways thanks for the note what ever it did say.

That, plus it was copyright infrigment. Square owns the trademarks.

cool but does that have anything to do with the conversation or make it less of a full version that was made as example ....

That NES pirate game actually cut a lot of stuff that was in the original game.

Yuffie is like the main reason to play the game. If she's not in it, that hurts me.
