Chimera Costume - Gaming Union Forums

Hey guys, so I just wanted to get some opinions of other R2 players of my WIP of my Chimera costume (which I am randomly naming Nikolaev.... lol yes, Nikolaev. Deal with it)

(He obviously doesn't have the teeth in yet...)
(And if anyone is curious, the jaw will be movable! :3)
(lol also, I thought he was done, but I decided his skin was too plain, so I'm adding texture; it's just taking a long time, what with all those lines and such. But I'll post updated ones soonish)

And this video I took is obviously outdated now as the pictures above show the head complete, but yeah, here's an insight on the making process if anyone is interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9lgu...e=channel_page

So yeah... thoughts, opinions, feedback, suggestions, comments, etc would be great. Thanks!

Also, don't know if any of you out there have worked with latex or silicone before, but any suggestions as to which I should use would be helpful too. Oirignally I was planning on having the final mask as silicone, but now I'm being told different by other friend costumers. Some say latex, others say silicone; so I'm kinda torn. :\

(Edit: I saw the 'creative' thread thing, but too bad, I'm posting it here cause R2 is full of win and this is R2 related, so yeah....)

Yeah, once I've made a mold, and casted the final mask. I'll be painting that.

The base is made of a plaster cast of my own had, then just clay on top of that. I'm debting whether to use latex or silicone for the final mask.

What are you making the costume for?
Is it for an event or maybe just for a display?
It looks amazing in any case, i can't wait to see the final product

I'm making it cause I can. XD Everything I do (if it isn't a commission), I do because I love the character and because I can. I'm a costume maker, it's what I do! lol

I was expecting a cosplay event or something to show off the costume, its definetly looking on its way to being one of the best i've seen lol
