How do we feel about the difference of using console headsets or Skype voice chats to communicate during games (What's your preference)

Skype does the job well.

How many of us are willing to play games via Steam (especially Free 2 Play titles) as well as consoles
Steam all the way!

Would anyone be interested in "Launch Clans", where we play a newly released game's multiplayer together for the first time
Sounds like a interesting idea that i would not mind doing.

How do people feel about the various levels of seriousness? Some people just want to have a good game whereas others are happy to just mess around? Is this something that you'd be comfortable specifying before the event
Messing around is what i prefer but i am happy either way.

Again, it would be great to hear a list of games that people would like to play
I would love Counter Strike: Source but i am not holding my breath and same goes for Magic The Gathering: Duals Of The Planewalkers 2012 .

i dont use either because i dont have micro on my pc or headsets although i plan on getting a ps3 headset soon. we could use the psn text chat, so that even people that dont have headsets/skype like me could communicate with everyone else.

I dont like playing games on PC, but i like the idea of playing Free 2 Play titles on consoles

Is there anybody interested in becoming a Clan leader for specific events? For example, there are games that people want to play which I do not own, and thus cannot run for the duration of the clan.

I wouldnt mind being Clan leader for worms, wipeout and Uncharted events, but as "clan leader" what would my responsibilities?

Would anyone be interested in "Launch Clans", where we play a newly released game's multiplayer together for the first time?

I would definitely would join "Launch Clans", but problem is most likely only a few of us will buy a game on launch day. But its still a good sugestion.

The level of seriounsness doesnt bother me, be serious while playing or just goofing around it doesnt matter to me, the important is have fun Big Grin

Again, it would be great to hear a list of games that people would like to play.

i already gave some sugestions of some games i really like, i could add others but i dont think we should have a big list, otherwise everyone will just go to their fvourite and we have 2-3 people in each game, i think a list around 10 titles is fine. And like i said before we could add Cooperative games to the list, some people dont like competitive modes but love Cooperative modes, it might bring more people to GU clan nights.

Skype's a pain, most unstable call software ever imo, I've only used it because everyone else has. I vote Ventrilo. But if everyone still wants to stick to Skype, I'll use it.

I am.

Is there anybody interested in becoming a Clan leader for specific events? For example, there are games that people want to play which I do not own, and thus cannot run for the duration of the clan.
That might help in adding variety to clan nights, as opposed to playing only UC, I support this idea.

This depends on whether everyone buys said game. If they do, of course. Smile

There's no point in being serious if it's not fun. However, sometimes games require there to be a certain level of seriousness for it to be fun.

Again, it would be great to hear a list of games that people would like to play.

Battlefield 3
Team Fortress 2
Counter-Strike: Source
Uncharted 2/3
Burnout Paradise
LittleBigPlanet 1/2
inFamous 2 (UGC Challenge perhaps?)

Launch Clan Games
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City
Soulcalibur V
Starhawk

How do we feel about the difference of using console headsets or Skype voice chats to communicate during games (What's your preference)?
I'd rather use Skype since it's the one I'm most used to. However, if there is an easier and better system that we can all agree on, I'm up for using it.

How many of us are willing to play games via Steam (especially Free 2 Play titles) as well as consoles?

...I'll willing, but not for any games that cost money...

Is there anybody interested in becoming a Clan leader for specific events? For example, there are games that people want to play which I do not own, and thus cannot run for the duration of the clan.

I can say for sure no.

Would anyone be interested in "Launch Clans", where we play a newly released game's multiplayer together for the first time?

I'd be interested, but the problem is that it would get expensive for me.

How do people feel about the various levels of seriousness? Some people just want to have a good game whereas others are happy to just mess around? Is this something that you'd be comfortable specifying before the event?
I'd like how we had it before. We have bouts of seriousness and bouts of silliness...That's the way it should be...

Again, it would be great to hear a list of games that people would like to play.

Valkyria Chronicles 2
Uncharted: Golden Abyss

I like it, my main preference would have to be teamspeak though.

It would be great. As long as i don't have to spend money. My computer isn't the greatest, so League of Legends would be great for me.

I am not sure, but would like to play League of Legends with some more members of the community. (May be able to do that on the weekend every once in awhile.)

Would anyone be interested in "Launch Clans", where we play a newly released game's multiplayer together for the first time?

Probly not for me. I don't really have much disposable income.

Again, it would be great to hear a list of games that people would like to play.

League of Legends
UC2
Borderlands
(Yeah, some older games, but still fun right?)

We're all looking for a hero in a world of villains.

Is there any way we can get hold of a vent server though... I would be down for vent. It makes gaming with my friends so much easier Big Grin (and no, we cannot use the server me and my friends are using.)

EDIT: I had a look at some vent servers. I found one which we can have for 3 months at around $11, it has 10 slots. That looks quite reasonable just to try out the PC side of things. Big Grin

oh no... MS lol that game... I was so hooked on it but after the Big Bang patch, I realized how stupid it was lol. Man I reached 70 before Pirates came out and that was SO pro then... now 70's a joke. oh well
Anyways...

What games would you like to see included in the Clan Night schedule?
Seeing the bad reviews on most sites and seeing as I see nobody saying this, I'm kinda hesitant, but can I suggest LotR: War in the North?
Also, LBP2, Maybe Madden or Fifa
When do you think would be best to hold events?
Well for me, it really depends on the game and if my parents are home. If it's say a shooter, then it would be best if my parents weren't home or they'd freak. Weekends are preferable.
Would you like to see/participate in tournaments?
Sure!
How do we feel about the difference of using console headsets or Skype voice chats to communicate during games (What's your preference)?
uhm well I don't have a console headset and the times I play, I can't use skype since my mom uses my laptop when I'm not using it, so I'm not really sure. Might have to get a headset soon
How many of us are willing to play games via Steam (especially Free 2 Play titles) as well as consoles?Well I recently got Steam, and I can run games like TF2 on my crappy laptop, but I didn't get it yet. If you guys make a TF2 Clan Night, I'll get it.
Is there anybody interested in becoming a Clan leader for specific events? For example, there are games that people want to play which I do not own, and thus cannot run for the duration of the clan.
If it's War in the North, then sure Big Grin

That'd be sweet! Although I'm not sure if I'll get new games on launch days.

I like a comfortable environment where everyone's chill with each other and people joke around and laugh. The only thing that would bother me would be gloating or insulting in a competitive game. When I get pissed off by trash talking after a loss, and jokes happen, I tend to get pissed off admittedly :/ but I also don't want people to be uptight in a social event.
