I have preordered the game now since the beginning of december. And I havent spoiled the game for msyself, so I wouldnt start now by downloading the Demo.

SE could have at least put a second dialogue at least. Thats all the bad things I have to say for now, let me play the demo a little more and I'll have more to say.

Oops, didn\'t know you were going to make an article thread, this works a little better.

I of course was on the fence for FF13-2. Just seems like a rehash and I despise pet systems. Only 2 playable characters also bothers me a lot. Just too many features here that I like FF for, has been removed and replaced by western RPG aspects. Don\'t growl at me, it\'s just my perspective.

The demo didn\'t change my mind. It\'s exactly what I seen FF turned into. a western RPG with autopilot combat and a pet system. While I played through it without pain and yawns, it also didn\'t excite me. So my question for myself remains. Is it worth 60 bucks for a wanna-be western RPG, or should I just wait for the discounted copy? I\'m still pondering.

I will say though, a DLC moogle skin change would be awesome. To make Mog look like FF6 moogle, or 9 or ivalice version. Instant buy. Funny what tips me over the fence line

I had a pretty good time with the demo. The quick time events are integrated in a pretty favorable way and the battle system is still good. I like being able to talk to NPCs, haha.

Noel and Sera don't interest me very much as characters (they are who you play as in the demo), so I'm still really interested to see how Lightning and Caius factor in to the story of the game.

Basically, I'm still excited for January 31st. I don't think that XIII-2 will set the JRPG world on fire, but I still think it will be really enjoyable as another experience in the XIII universe.

I haven't played the demo yet but I downloaded it. I'm near the end of 13 but I haven't beat it quite yet.
I read the review in GameInformer though and it sounds pretty good!

Oh I won't growl at you, but western rpg? Really? Granted I'm only in chapter 4 of XIII but I'm not seeing the comparison to a western style game.

I've only played through the first little bit of the demo, but I like the QTE's. Really, that's as far as I've gotten.

I am quite pleased. The combat felt as smooth as ever and the ability to walk around and talk to the NPCs is refreshingly reminiscent of classic FFs but on next gen, which is a brilliant formula. On that note, the graphics are stellar, especially the rain effects. I'm very glad I pre-ordered.
