I was looking over to see if anybody did a Gaming Prediction 2011. I saw no threads for 2011, but I saw a 2010 thread that Damian made. I thought I would bring back gaming predictions then at the end of the year we can look back on this thread to see if anyone was right or wrong.

Now Predictions can vary from release dates of games/consoles, sales of consoles, price cuts, a new service for a gaming console, and anything else that is gaming related. If you have one funny or non-gaming prediction that isn't gaming related put it in, but only one guys.

I have 5 prediction you can put the same amount/more/less, its your choice. If somehow you know that your prediction is going to happen don't put it in. This thread is just for pure speculation.

Here are my predictions:

1)The Last Guardian will not be released this year. It maybe announced this year but it won't be released.

2)At the end of February the Vita's worldwide units sold will be over 1.5 million. I have hope for Vita to be successful in NA and EU.

3)The HD upgrade of the Wii(Generation 7.5), the WiiU will be released in November this year

4)Sony will not talk about the PS4 at all this year. No announcements that they are working on the PS4.

5)Kingdom Heart HD Collection will be released this year. Why not its not much to ask for really SE.

Non-Gaming Prediction-Windows 8 will be released this year and I will purchase it.

I have a few predictions:

1.) We will not get any new information or reveals about "Kingdom Hearts III."

2.) A redesign of the 3DS will be announced and released before August 2012.

3.) The Last Guardian will get cancelled.

4.) The new Xbox won't be revealed in 2012.

5.) Final Fantasy XIII-2 won't break the 1 Million Sales mark in either Europe or North America.

I second this.

Now for a few of my own:

1) Nintendo will reveal more information about the WiiU at E3 2012, but people will still be confused as hell about it.

2) Nintendo will officially announce a new Zelda, Metriod, and Mario game. Fans and journalists will, naturally, go bat-shit bananas over how "awesome" it will be.

3) Square-Enix will insist that Versus XIII is still getting made. No new trailers or even press conferences tidbits. Just more rumors. Speaking of rumors...

4) Square-Enix will continue to tease the idea about possibly remaking Final Fantasy VII if there's enough demand for it.

5) Activision will, like clockwork, release teaser footage for Modern Warfare 4: This Cash Cow's Must Be Dry By Now.

6) Even though Mass Effect 3 is an end to a trilogy, EA will speak of a fourth installment or spin-offs.

7) Valve, realizing that all their IP's have reached the number 2, scratches their heads about what other forgotten IP they can develop a sequel for. Fans scream foulplay, still demanding the fate of Half-Life 3.

8) Lackluster sales of Final Fantasy XIII-2 bring frustration to distraught Toriyama, who pleads to Wada for funding for XIII-3 and XIII-4, insisting that fans that he's taking things seriously now.

1. Square Enix may have a big press conference either at E3 or their own and announce a KH3D, Theatrythim FF, FFX HD and FF Type-0 western release date, announce KH HD Collection and show off tons of content for FF Verses XIII (and maybe rename it).

2. The Last of Us will be Fricking EPIC

3. The 3DS will finally be up to Nintendo's standards because of games that have finally come out.

4. The PS Vita will rule in NA and Europe.

5. The Wii U will flop in sales in its first six months.

6. Sony is secretly working on PS4 but will not announce it untill 2013-2014

7. Assassin's Creed III will be awesome again like ACII

8. Treyarch's new game will be Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

9. FF XIII-2 will bring the FF community closer to argreeing that it is an good FF game

10. God of War IV will be announced

• FFXIII-2 will have the same polarised reception that XIII did (some loving it, some hating it) and overall will not be the saving grace that many people are hoping for.
• Mass Effect 3 will be GOTY.
• Assassin's Creed III will not entirely suck, but will be anti-climatic.
• The Last Guardian won't be released this year, but E3 will reveal a true release date (Q1/Q2 next year).
• Announcement of Broken Sword 5 (I know I'm pretty much the only one that cares here, but still!).
• There will be a handful of surprisingly awesome new IPs.
• Vita & 3DS will continue to "struggle" , but will not fail like so many analysts are claiming.
• Forced motion control integration to AAA titles will decline (though casual market will continue as is).

Hey guys it's almost the end of 2012(I totally forgot about this thread honestly thanks for the PM Axeken), right now a fellow BEYOND listener and GU member Axeken is tallying the results to see who's predictions were right and who's was wrong.

Like on Podcast Beyond you will get one point for each guess if it's right, if your part right then you will get half a point but if you were wrong you get 0 points for one guess. So the winner of Game Predictions 2012 will get uhhhhh bragging rights and an internet cookie I guess I look forward to the results Axeken.

Those rules are absolutely right hunterslasher. I wanted it to be a surprise for everyone but now people know not to bother writing there own results. The results won't be out until after Jump Festa because some things are still in limbo like Verses XIII content or GOTY things. But stay tuned for all the end of year forums and next year prediction page likely to follow the results.
