Quote:It's been around a year since the PlayStation Vita was officially announced during a press conference in Japan, with western media getting an extended hands-on experience during E3 2011. It has since launched in Japan, with North American and European gamers not able to sample it for themselves until its release on the 22nd of February, 2012. But despite it not even being out yet, the console has already had its fair share of ups and downs. It started off with leaks aplenty and during its current phase, we're seeing a distinct amount of reservation due to its Japanese sales.

I agree with this all the way. I believe in the Vita and I know you can only get better from here into the last of it's days. I can't really see it going down too far. Maybe a little in the begging but that might be about it. I am getting this day one with Ninja Gaiden Sigma (I don't got a PS3 so this is awesome XD) I'm quite fine with ports atm but originals will be awesome. What is so great about ports are that from one console to another, you can play it in a totally different fashion. With all this potential, it will be tough to fail. But who knows. I hope for the best.

What Sony did with the PSP was put up a new PSP redesign every once in a while. For the Vita I hope that Sony doesn't redesign the Vita(Only when it really needs it like maybe 5 years from now).

Other then that I am really excited for the Vita and I'm counting the days down to the launch(34 days to go by the way).

I feel sad to admit that despite the huge excitement I have for the PSVita compared to the 3DS, I am pretty much forced to buy a 3DS to get Kingdom Hearts 3D. Sad
This is particularly annoying since it's clear the Vita has so many more features than the 3DS, especially since I'm not all that into 3D.

I'm really not that hyped for the vita, at all. I mean i know about the features and how awesome it is going to be.... but i think i'll wait until the price drops to get one, or i get fed up with my psp.

I was extremely pumped for it last year. Now that they have fleshed out what WILL be on release date, my excitement went down. Yes, there's tons of titles for it release date, but how many would I actually play is the question. I'll be waiting til I know both Gravity Rush and Disgaea3 is released before I throw out the cash.

Love the article, it's nice to know others are still standing firm on it. For those waiting on a price cut, based off of Sony's past, don't count on it.

When it comes to this thing being successful or not, I'm still banking on that second joystick and the beautiful display. Once you start seeing Resistance, Call of Duty, and Battlefield titles on this thing, it will sell like hotcakes.

The PSP has been around for 5 years and since then there has been technology changes with smart phones and Ipads etc.

The PS Vita is another step forward in a new generation of handheld mobility.

It might be scary for a consumer on price and not knowing every game that will be released in the next 12 months, but the quality and presentation of games will capture people's attention.

We should all be confident with the future.
