Well, as valid as your point is, note that the nature of GU is as such that the staff will choose to post such random, out of the blue content on the site. They will choose to write opinions and rants, because thats what this site is. I disagree and even dislike some of the content that this site provides sometimes, but you have to deal with all of it as is. If you don't want to be bothered by something like this, just scroll by it and ignore it.

Crevox, do you realize how much work is going into this site to make it a great hub for gaming news and for the community? I don't see what's wrong with the staff asking us to help out where possible and it's not like we are being bombarded with these posts every-bloody-day. Nobody is forcing anyone to buy anything either. And like Zero said, not everything that's shared on this site will appeal to everyone.

If you have something constructive to share, then that feedback is always welcomed. But your post was no where constructive at all, if anything it was only rude. Saying something is "lame" or shooting it down simply because you are assuming it has no beneficial purpose for the community isn't constructive. And what's worse is you don't even provide any suggestions to improve how to deliver on such posts since you're so against it until after everyone else has criticized you. Maybe if you'd started out with that then you wouldn't have come off as rude.

This isn't a "please help us, contribute to gaming union" post. This is a lame attempt to score money off of users. Are we contributing? Yes, but they're not the idea here. They are trying to make a profit, not "support our site and help us stay alive."

You're entitled to your own opinion on your post, but remember what I said was only an opinion. You might also think it's not constructive, which is also your own opinion. I don't mind you commenting on my opinion with your own opinions, but don't try to act like how you are.

Ok, I will give you that, but what's wrong with a business trying to make a profit? I would think that it is the whole point of it being a business. And it's not like Gaming Union doesn't give its readers something in return.

It's like this, You did not seem to come off as someone making an opinion in the first place, you came off more as someone who read a little post leading you to where you could buy a game (and put a little munny in the site fund) as well as complaining about not only an opinion piece, but about a post pushing a video game for sale as well.

Sometimes, if you know your "opinion" is just going to sound like rough criticism for something that really doesn't need any sort of feedback (it's just a little support to the site...), you might just want to keep it to yourself. That's all. (It's like when you think "Damn that person is fat, and your entitled to think so, but it'd be wrong to outright tell them).

Anyway, on topic, I dunno if I'll buy Re:Coded. I mean, it looks pretty good. But I'm not so sure if it's quite worth it yet. There are things I'd rather buy, I mean. But...It looks good.
