Here's a quick rundown of the pre-order goods Square Enix has in store for you. Depending on where you make your purchase, you'll be in for a number of collectible treats, including downloadable items or collectibles of the more tangible kind.

Amazon.com
Should you pre-order from Amazon.com, you'll get access to an exclusive coliseum boss battle against the mechanical behemoth Omega. Beat him and you can add him to your Party Pack. You'll also get $10 back in Amazon credit.



GameStop
Pre-ordering from GameStop will nail you a couple of exclusive goods for Serah Farron, including the Genji Bow which is exclusive to GameStop PowerUp Rewards members. For everyone else, Serah will get the Summoner's Garb, an alternate costume that dresses her up in traditional Gran Pulse attire, which shows up in in-game cutscenes.

BestBuy
For those that prefer the more tangible collectible items, Best Buy is your best bet. (Keke, see what I did there?) Fans will be treated to the Final Fantasy XIII -Episode I- Novella, a book which ties together the events of Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2.

Walmart
If you'd like a poster, be sure to head over to Walmart as they are offering the Battle for Valhalla poster as a pre-order bonus item, featuring Lightning, Caius, Noel and Serah about to cross blades in Valhalla's abandon.

I got the Collector's edit from BestBuy. I figured the book would be best for me since I read a lot/look at books often. The poster is tempting but my parents wouldn't approve of it hanging anywhere in my house. As for the DLC, they're bound to come up on PSN anyways so I'm not getting those

I got the Genji Bow/costume entirely because I have customer loyalty to my local EB. I think the Gamestop of the states must be a different beast than the one I have here in Atlantic Canada, because I never see any of the upselling product pushing that I hear complained so much about. My EB is full of really generous, friendly, helpful employees who know me by name and treat me as a valued and respected customer. I would have liked the poster or the book more, but I love my EB and I want to give them my business.

I'm going for the book too, I imagine the downloadable ones will be available at a later date, and I much prefer physical collectibles. Too bad there isn't a play arts kai included.

Im with Omega, already since December. Question is, if you wanna get this one at the start of the game but its on a to high level and you fail, is it still available or is this fight a one try thing. Cause they could do a lot of $ with that, so Im not sure what SE is doing with that pre order / dlc stuff after all. . .

I had to go with Gamestop even though I detest them. It was the only way I could get it release date. Bestbuy is 4 hour drive and Amazon wouldn't release date ship me (even though I've gotten release date ships for other games from them).

Oh well, I hate Serah's default outfit in 13-2, the garb looks much better.

I'm getting the GAME preorder pack as I live in the UK. It comes with the steelbook, Episode I novella, Omega DLC, an alternate costume for both Noel and Serah plus all of the things in the limited edition!

I also have 2 official Final Fantasy XIII-2 bags (one I bought and the other I got free from the manager of my local game shop) and I have a poster of the Battle of Valhalla on the other side (the side I have shown on my wall) Is Lighting and Serah standing next to each other like this but portrait: http://finalfantasyxiii2.files.wordpress...0x1200.jpg

And my local game shop are going to let me have their FFXIII-2 promotional stand after they have finished with it!
