Hello there again and thanks for joining us for yet another character spotlight. Up next are NORA, the resistance fighters led by Snow Villiers, Serah's fiance. Again, no spoilers here, just information based on what Square Enix have released publically, we hope you find this informative!
Snow Villiers
Snow Villiers is the founder and leader of resistance group NORA, and also fiance to Serah Farron. He calls himself "The Hero," but usually jumps into action before thinking it through. Due to this, a number of characters dislike his personality, especially Lightning. In Final Fantasy XIII, Snow does everything in his power to save Serah, regardless of the direness surrounding the situation.
Post Final Fantasy XIII, Snow believes that Lightning is holding up Cocoon alongside Fang and Vanille. Despite his take on the turn of events, he believes in Serah when she says that Lightning is still alive and goes out in search for her. He hands Serah his engagement pendant before vanishing as well.
In recent trailers, Snow is seen dressed in a worn out trench coat, and has grown out his hair, which now resembles that of a chocobo. He “saves the day” when Serah and Noel are in over their heads, but is soon repremanded by Noel for his usual heroic attitude. If you look closely at released screenshots, a l’Cie brand, partially hidden by his sleeve, can be spotted on his left forearm.
Perhaps this is the reason for his disappearance?
NORA
Standing for "No Obligations, Rules, or Authority," NORA was a group of resistance fighters opposing Sanctum’s Purges. Based in Bodhum, the group originally provided protection services from unfriendly monsters, but was then spurred into resistance when the village was deemed tainted by Pulse.
The group was founded by Snow Villiers and a circle of notable members, among whom are Snow’s closest friends, including Gadot, Lebreau, Maqui and Yuj. Gadot is known to be pretty hot-tempered and is the closest to Snow. While he often behaves like a grunt, he tends to mean the best. Lebreau is treated much like the rest of the guys in NORA, she’s the most level-headed member and handles NORA’s base of operations: the cafe. As for Maqui, he joined NORA because of his admiration for Snow and aspires to become just like him. He has a knack for technical work and acts as the group’s mechanic. Yuj is pretty much NORA’s fashionista and is best friends with Maqui. While not nearly as bold as Snow or Gadot, Yuj always keeps a level head even during the most trying of times.
In Final Fantasy XIII-2, NORA establishes New Bodhum in memory of their original sea-side home. The group continues to provide protection services as well as a hub of activity in their cafe, handled mostly by Lebreau. NORA immediately springs into action when the village is suddenly attacked by monsters.
Join us again tomorrow for another character spotlight featuring a much older Hope and his Acadamian counterpart Alyssa, who despite her perky personality, seems to be hiding something rather sobering.'
