Spot on. Even though the game wasn't left directly open to a sequel, there's so much potential for one. With the appearance of Neku in KH:DDD though, TWEWY hasn't been completely forgotten just yet ^_^

One change that I would make would be putting Radiant Historia for the DS somewhere on the list its similar in some ideas of time travel to final fantasy XIII-2, and a bit to Chrono Trigger, sadly it didn't have the large of a release and North America was only given a sporadic launch it is somewhat hard to find, but I have heard that Atlus is re-releasing the game so their is still hope.

"The World ends with You" have characters who don't "fit in with society" and hence are "rebellious" to social norms.

I presume that many DS owners can't relate to the characters (too mainstream and have enough money for a DS and games?).

The setting is in Tokyo (one of the famous districts) and perhaps for some, too close to comfort.

For people outside of Japan, may be hard to relate to teh characters and scene.

I certainly enjoyed playing the game and the character development and narrative were both excellent. But I am an adult and not a teenager looking to play a game.

The game was critically acclaimed (adult reviewers etc).

I admire this game and Square Enix investment in another genre.

Nice list. I've played and enjoyed several of the games (TWEWY, Crisis Core, Lost Odyssey, BBS, and DQ9, though I haven't finished all of them), and I plan on playing more of them once I have enough time and money (especially FFXIII and Resonance of Fate). But I agree that Radiant Historia should be included. It's not a perfect game, but it has a lot of great elements and is one of my favorite games to be released in recent years.

Valkyria Chronicles need more love all the time.

I am surprised that TWEWY made the list, good game overall, but really hard to play.
