Great stuff as usual. Are you all planning on having a spoiler filled episode in the future?

I hated Mog at first, definitely ain't my favorite design whatsoever. But he grew on me and I just really liked hearing him scream kupo a lot. Still think he looks like a deformed baby.

I have to agree with everything you guys said relating to Serah's purpose in the game. It really did just seem like she was a lost puppy following Noel whining about Lightning. Even her drive once she learned her purpose later was not very well done.

Like I've expressed elsewhere, the clock puzzles make me angered inside. I often found myself, after a long time attempting, hating life and questioning why I got a puzzle game when I thought I bought an RPG.

Thanks again for a great episode!

That's funny, having Mog say 'kupo' all the time got on my wife's nerves to no end, and mine too. I was amazed when I found out Mog was male. Nothing about him says that he is. Oh well.

The clock puzzles, while frustrating, I didn't find too bad. I knew going into them just to be patient and persistant and I always caem out the other end quicker than I would have thought. However, the timed clocked puzzles were vastly more taxing due to them changing each time you fail.

Overall, I really did enjoy the game...minus the ending...

Based on your usage of words, i think it's safe to say that GU's opinion of ffxiii-2 can be summed up with one word: "flaky"

Idk why you guys dont like ffxii. if you look at it as an open world successor to vagrant story it actually fits quite well.

Also, kupo nuts are how you make baby moogles. Thats how it was in ff7 and ff9 (gizmaluke's grotto).

Both Colin and I really like FFXII, its just Vaan, the music and story that we don't particularily like. The gameplay and atmosphere and world is what made the game amazing IMO.

Great show as usual guys. I agree about everything you guys said about Serah. She was a really weird lead protagonist, and I definetly preferred Noel as the lead. I actually liked Noel and his backstory it was great. Mog was alright, but definetly not my favorite Mog (FF6's was my Favorite Mog, he had some great abilities). I also found the game really easy, before this podcast was able to be released, I platinumed the game with ease. I also hate how little screentime lightning got, despite the fact she was shoved in our face a heck of a lot.

If you are going to add me, just say you're from Gamingunion Smile

thanks for your viewpoints on this game. It made me think about the features as well. like I knew the story would be not amazing by this being a player choice driven game.
I think the monsters were a miss for many reasons: they don't have multiple classes making the max classes in battle you can have 15 not 18 like last game. their level up system is weird i would of liked a symbiosis of cp and componets. Their is no soul in monsters (no personality) they are just fantamons with weird adornments that wouldn't stay on their head when battling. and i think there is no variety in how the best monsters were chosen to my knowledge the best ones are chocobos mostly.
I really like combat but their is one thing that buged me is that there is no tp in this game i mean come on. libra was the only thing that made the AI smart and yes you can get scope and acessory for kill libra but tp would have been nice. i mean serah could have libra, renew, and dispellga while noel had flare, ultima, and holy or any other non elemental spells.
music was good. the only thing is that lyrics distract me when trying to listen to a story. i like crazy chocobo by the way.
and the only question I have is shouldn't chaos bahamut had have the proper name of tiamat? i mean it was done in viii where a time warped bahamut was named that. he even did dark flare and everything. oh well it no big deal. Sorry for long post but there was a lot of events here

As I recall, they don't all take issue with FF12. If I remember correctly, Colin liked it.
