Male: Vincent Valentine. Even in the original, Lego block design FF VII, he is just really badass. His appearance in Advent Children only increased his appeal, and when I look at the vampires in... Twilight *winces*, I see how it really should be done. His backstory is quite interesting too. Other honourable mentions are Sephiroth and Kefka, amongst many others.

Female: It is difficult, I don't want to choose one of those female chars portrayed as "the damsel in distress" so to speak... but I do quite like Terra. Or Yuna. Or even like Lightning, despite the fact that FF XIII sucked. I can't decide to be honest.

This is a very tricky question for me to answer! Okay here goes.

For favorite FF male character, I'm gonna have to go with Cloud, because he was so much cooler in Advent Children than in the original. Also he is very sexy with his swords and rides Fenrir. I'm liking blondes okay hehe!

For favorite FF Female character, 100% is Lightning! Real reason cause she almost has the same personalty as me such as badass, very athletic, and take down guys in no other way.

I thought Celes was a good example of a non-damsel character. While Locke did save her from captivity, she wasn't a helpless princess, but a scorn general turned resistance leader.
