Hey Unionites! I decided to make this thread in anticipation for the release of Mass Effect 3 (in 2 or 3 weeks). The topic title basically says it all...When playing Mass Effect, which actions do you mostly use?

Are you a kind-hearted leader who's willing to find the safest way to complete the mission without sacrifices? (Paragon).

Or are you a ruthless leader who's willing to quickly complete the mission NO MATTER THE COST! and in addition to being plain selfish? (Renegade).

Me? I'm always Paragon mainly because that's just who I want to be in Real Life...I've yet to play the Renegade actions, but I hear that it's quite entertaining

So Unionites?...What's your responses to situations in the universe of Mass Effect?

I still need to play through the Mass Effect series, but I have to say that in most games where you get the choice to be good or bad; I usually go for good.

And I know that some people say that it's fun to roleplay evil in video games... Well, it's fun to roleplay hero as well. No one here is a hero in real life, right?

Earlier this month, I decided to do a renegade replay of Mass Effect 2. I'm about 75% through it and my Renegade and Paragon points are about 50/50. I just can't bring myself to be a total jerk even when I try to be... XD

My true Mass Effect story will always be paragon!

With most moral RPGs, I like to try and get into the role as if it is myself. This usually comes out at about halfway up the "good bar" by the end of the game. With Mass Effect, I decided I would do this but with a slight twist - at the core, I am a mild human supremacist (I won't usually show it unless I have to choose who lives between a human or non-human friend), and I am a bit more ruthless than normal - the mission needs to be completed, no matter what (examples of this are ). This returned a quarter to one third of the way up the paragon bar. Unfortunately, the game tends to favour those who are exclusively one or the other.

As much as I want to hate the world and be an evil mother... I always take the hero stance in mass effect and any other game really.

I always end up going paragon, or good in whatever game I play in that allows moral choices. I'm way too goody-goody to go bad.

At the end of it all, gamers play what we play not for "game over," but rather for what we take away.

Muhahaha, screw Paragon, Renegade all the way. My Shepard's such a jerk. I remember in the first game where she punched the the scientist who wouldn't shut up. So hilarious.

I'm with Commander Colon. RENEGADE ROCKS. Even if you don't go all the way (with all individual choices), you can still easily achieve a maximum Renegade. Although I have to admit, I failed a bit, only achieved ~95% D:... surely need to rectify that soon .

I like Paragon too, it's always my first playthrough. And when I've been a goodie ole two-shoes, I'll explore the game fully with the Renegade path. >

Have you seen the ultimate renegade ME2 ending? Everyone dies. I don't know, if you want to play the third one with a bunch of people dead, that's up to you! I personally found the paragon story line to be a little bit better in the second, and the first one it was more balanced. Usually renegade is for a second "alternate" ending experience for me

I always play FemShep as a Renegade - she's just so badass. Harsh, but fair.
