After the 360 comes out. That would be the best route for them to take.

They could analyse the pros and cons of it and 1 up them. Although, perhaps xbox is thinking this as well. If so, both consoles will never come out. #infinitewaiting

I still have no idea why you guys hate the idea of a ps4 announcement. Worst comes to worst, don't buy it. It's not like ps3 games will no longer be made the moment the ps4 comes out.

I also seem to remember a slow start for the ps3 upon its release... Maybe a decent idea is to release the ps4 as soon as possible, so the slow start will have been over by the time people are ready to purchase a new console.

Actually, graphics can't really be improved.

You see, home consoles are limited by the TVs they are connected to and 1080p HDTVs are pretty much the limit. Either that or the PS4 would have to be designed with computer monitors in mind and their won't really be a market for that.

A new PS4 would have to make progress with other features, improved Blu-Ray disc technology reducing load times, smoother gameplay (frames per second), improved RAM, improved sound output, etc.

But to be fair, graphics are the main attraction to a new console but much like Forza 4 on the 360 proved, sometimes even the lighting in a game can make all the difference.

So in summary, yes, 1080p IS enough. But aside from that limit, everything else can and probably will be improved.
