Just got an e-mail in my inbox with the Gamestop Weekly Ad and at the very top of the ad: Assassin's Creed 3

They are apparently taking pre-orders already, and everybody who is crazy enough to do so will get a free collectable steelbox case with the game.

Also, when clicking on it, it leads me to a page where it shows a release date for the game: October 30, 2012

Not surprising. That was the entire point of the teaser trailer. It wasn't to give us new pieces of information, that was a by-product. No, it was to get early sales locked in.

When I start hearing the prordering bonuses and what comes with the possible special edition that will be the time to preorder ACIII. For now I'll save my money when that day comes.

That steelcase does look pretty sick.

Early pre-orders isn't all that surprising though. You can even pre-order FF Versus XIII on Amazon, and that doesn't even have a release date yet.

Speaking from experience I would definitely wait on it, and this is coming from a guy who stupidly pre-order Metal Gear Rising sometime in 2010 .

I'm going to wait for the "Big Edition" or something like the Animus Edition. Here in Australia, the preorder steelcase has not been announced so there is no incentive to preorder, yet.
