i think adding lighting would be a good thing, because Lighting is one of my favourite FF characters and because i want to see more FF in KH

again...I don't see why people are surprised that FF cameos are being reduced, I mean yes FF is awesome and yes FF in a hybrid series is awesome, but I think it's about time that KH started walking on it's own two feet without the crutches of TWEWY and FF constantly trying to do all the hard work, but seeing as almost the majority of KH fans were/are FF fans first and foremost then of course this would scream apocolyspe to the fanbase *sigh*

It's not necessarily that.. It's that final fantasy was there.. in Kingdom Hearts... but it was terribly bastardized. They ruined character relationships.. barely even recognized that these characters all have an epic story... I just feel like we were promised something initially with FF being in Kingdom Hearts... and I'm really disappointed that Square Enix dropped the ball on it.. that or this whole thing was Disney being the fascist leaders they are >.>""

I think Lightning would be nice to have. I really don't see why it would be bad, so long as Marvel characters stay out of KH, I will be ok.

I agree with many of your points (as well as the points of the other commenters).

I'm sort of tired of token FF cameos in Kingdom Hearts. I think that Wakka and Tidus fit in alright enough in KH1 but others (like Vivi in KH2) were handled wayyyyyy too clumsily. Moderation is key.

I'd prefer Lightning not being in KH3D. She does feel especially overdone right now, so I'd rather not have Square push her any more. I don't mind her as a character, but I'm not especially fond of her.

When I first got into KH, I knew almost nothing of FF. (As a matter of fact, KH is the primary reason that I got into FF!) As such, I didn't know about the characters enough to see that they're a bit dumbed down.

Now that I've played a bunch of the games, I sort of see where you're coming from. Certain characters were handled pretty poorly (I feel like they really messed up on Setzer =/) , but I really liked the inclusion of other characters, such as Auron. I felt like he was portrayed really well, as his inclusion was one of the reasons that led me to buy FFX. xD

Exactly. Not being a FF fan prior to my playing of KH, I didn't know any of the relationships, and so I thought that Wakka and Tidus were fine right where they were in KH1. However, comparing their placement to those such as Vivi was sloppy and could have been modeled in a much cleaner fashion.

I'm glad to see KH moving away from FF. The series needs to stand on its own two feet without big brother FF holding it up. I'm all good with seeing the originals from KH1, but beyond that I'd love to see new characters introduced into the KH universe.

Even so, honestly, if they did in fact try this stunt, they'd have to change Lightning almost completely because of how strict she is in terms of personality and morals.

And yes, like everyone says, Lightning is complete overkill now. She's not even that great of a character, to be honest. There were much more developed characters from FFXIII that could be better than Lightning in KH. In fact... I can't believe I'm saying this, but Hope and Vanille are the two most likely characters to be in KH games. Their bright personalities would work perfectly with Sora's.
