I would like to pretend to be shocked and saddened by this news, but the fact of the matter is that high street stores continue to struggle against the low prices that online shops can provide. It's a no brainer really if a new release is either going to set you back £49.99 or £34.95.

I still stick with the fact that I don't need 3 separate GAME-owned shops in my 1 town. They brought this on themselves, Gamestop are in the same position in regards to brick and mortar retailers, GAME should've learnt from them.

It doesn't directly effect me, but it kinda sucks to see it go. Clo is right about the whole online prices, why would you pay so much more when online stores sell it cheaper and for new games, guarantee delivery on release day.

GAME haven't been running their business successfully for a good while now, so it isn't a surprise really.

Edit: Shit! I have vouchers for GAME. :O I'd better get them spent sharpish...
