Has anyone seen these before? What did you think?
I watched both of them a couple of years ago and only vaguely remember them. I might watch one or both of them over spring break if I can find them but I have lots of other stuff I'm doing too ^__^
From what I can recall I was more into LotC. It had more comedic elements and memorable characters. Unlimited had its moments and characters too though. Fungus is the one that stands out in my mind :] I liked him.
They're both worth watching if you can find them!
Also, sorry if this topic is already out there. 58 pages is a lot to look through Tongue

I have seen most of Final Fantasy Unlimited, can't remember why I stopped watching a few episodes away from the end, but I need to rewatch it and this time to the end.

Btw, I thought Chobi and Ai were my favourites. Chobi was crazy and then he gets armour! That was awesome and Ai just added to the comedy with the hair pulling!

Whoa flash back. I watched Legend of the Crystals waaay back in the mid 90s when it came out. I rented it from a store as VHS, and I think they only had 1 volume. It was.. weird from what I remember. As for Unlimited, I've always wanted to watch it but never got around to it.

No worries, it's always nice to get fresh perspectives every now and then. Especially from newer members. Also, the search feature is a little more friendly for referencing.

Is it something you'd be interested in seeing from Square again? Like, (unlikely) a FF9 anime? A rehashing of the original story or a new story that picks up right after the curtains close on Zidaine and Garnet hugging it out? I think its characters are well suited for the anime treatment.

I'd be for it, even if it stunk. Of course, I've never really ever had a problem with Square's film making. Spirit's within was very visually stunning, advent children was great, and I enjoyed the anime rendition of Zack's story.

Funny thing.. As I was making the write-ups for the FF9 characters the other day, I thought of how cool it would be to have the entire story done up in an anime series. They are just lively characters that are suited for it. Reading the dialog just begs some great voice acting to make it even better.

FFU is worth watching if only to see Kaze and Makenshi summon our favorite beasts. A lot of the music is pretty good with Uematsu contributing quite a bit.

I know that there is an official Final Fantasy XII manga in Japan. I know it isn't everyone's favourite FF but they could that. It would be better if they did an FF9 anime!

I've always known about Final Fantasy: Unlimited, but I was never compelled to watch it. Maybe it's something I could get into, but I never heard great things about it?

I think if you replaced the FF references with other content it would still be a decent show. Seeing the familiar summons and, monsters and characters makes it a fun watch :]

I have actually seen both of them and honestly they're both just okay legend of the Crystals was probably more interesting, and frankly unlimited just had a depressing ending if I'm remembering right.
