Chapter 07 I love because I can use Lancers to win, which for me is great since they are my favorite class, I also like the level design too, it felt big but small too. I also like Chapter 17 for that same reason, the Lancers and all.

I have to say I love the music as well, I believe it's Hitoshi Sakimoto best work, of course you have the big ones like the

Listening to them brings back all the fun I had from not only VC, but Final Fantasy 12 too. Great stuff I still listen to.

And I totally agree with you on the music. It's great. You have a whole range of compositions, and they all fit into the war theme. My favorite has got to be from the first game...





I don't know...It seems like the first game had the best soundtrack out of the three. There are songs I like in each, but I just enjoy the first the most...Valkyria Chronicles 3 theme is pure epicness too...

Also, how do people feel about how the injured squad mates system changed between VC1 and VC2? I feel that that the hospitalization in VC2 made playing the game easier, without any huge worry of any consequences, but I liked that VC1 made it so that if you screwed up, it could result in bad consequences.

Sadly, as much as VC1 was more 'realistic', I often found myself just reloading my game to fix the mistake. VC2 made it much more friendly in that respect. There was still penalties, but it was manageable. Plus I think it was a necessity as in VC2 you put a bit more work into characters as well as all of them had story progression for missions and the like.

I just like the Lancers, they are really cool in the games. And they were really fun to fire, because you would worry if they hit or not. Plus I like the how the lances looked, like a big "lance" lol.

I liked that in VC if they died in the line of battle, they were lose for the whole gaming run, and it work for it. But I was happy that in VC2 that it was gone as that would have annoyed me, since you had many more missions to work at.

How does everyone feel about the English voice acting? I like how some would sound funny, like Juno who would be overjoyed to be next to Welkin in battle, and speaking of Welkin I really liked him as the main character, normal and weird but insightful about the world around him.

I loved that even though Valkyria Chronicles had the option of going Japanese or English, I went English just because they did it so well. Every now and then, I ventured to listen to the originals.

VC1: I enjoyed the main characters and feel their portrayal of the story did very well. Welkin was calm and collective, Alicia was soothing and enjoyable, Rosie was snarky, Largo was just Largo, and Isara was always the innocent but determined. They all pulled it off well. As for side characters I loved Cherry and flirty draw, Vyce's psychotic laugh, Elysse's yawn filled talking. Good stuff!

Sadly, VC2 didn't have as memorable characters. Most were just loud, but I still liked some of the voicing of the side characters like Alexis and Morris. That said, the overall voicing in battle was okay.

I never listened to the Japanese voice acting, so I can't compare between the English and the Japanese, but the English voice acting was great. I liked it. I don't see the huge issue that some people have that the English was terrible...Now, too bad VC2 didn't have the voice acting switch option...

I liked how VC2 gave more emphasis on the side characters, compared to the first game. It just sucks that most of the character stories were kind of mediocre...

They were pretty bad. Some were rather cute though, and brought me a smile.

Now there's a neat question. If VC1 had side character stories, which would you loved to have seen?

I'd definitely say Elysse because I just love her!
Her Profile: She was raised by her father, a fencing instructor to the nobility, who recommended she enlist as a way to harden her psyche.
Yeah, not working! She's so lazy sounding. ^_^ The story can get into her relationship with her father and her feelings about having to enlist. Perhaps some tension? Or maybe people just find it weird that she's taking it so well.

Definitely one of my other thoughts. Would love to dive into Marina's mind a little. Especially her over the top hatred for 'Imps.'
