I kinda like your cast I would say for squall it should be kevin zegers, sean faris, or even river pheonix but he past away long ago, and for seifer I would say beau mirchoff.

It's funny you should mention River Pheonix since I heard that a lot of Squall's character design was based off of him. Shame he died so young :< Kevin Zegers I actually looked at but I don't know how well he's progressed as an actor. The only thing I remember him in was Air Bud so I'm not entirely sure how he is as a serious actor... the other two I don't know so I don't necessarily have an opinion on.. but yes, if we could go back in time and film FFVIII or perhaps stop River from killing himself and have him be Laguna now... I'd totally be for it
