yeah, that's pretty much the strategy I use, sans the haste across he party part (but with only 2 real attackers, I only needed to use haste twice usually anyways LOL)

Yeah, considering I don't have any specialist physical attackers (or specialist anything, for that matter) I need to get in as many hits as I can. I have a few weapons in my inventory I can 'use' in battle, and I think one of them casts Sabre, so I'll use that on my chap with the Masamune (who has the highest strength anyway).

yeah. those weapons that you can use in battle for spells come in real handy, that's how I got through a good portion of the game on my white mage challenge (trust me, Sabre used several times on a white mage/wizard makes a HUGE difference)

yeah, idk if it works on the NES version, but I've actually gotten a white wizard to break 2000, and that was w/o the masamune

well I finally finished it and it\'s actually a relief that it\'s over, I think I was psyching myself out over the final fight and honestly it wasn\'t that bad, although I was also thinking of the playstation version of the final boss. Anyway can\'t wait for the next New Game Plus.

Wow, I'm really late, aren't I? Anyway, I just beat the game. It was really fun to play through it again. The final boss was tough, but constant spamming of curative magic helped a lot.

The ending always confuses me a bit. I think the game designers had such a grand plan that the technology of the time couldn't adequately convey it. Nevertheless, it was a pretty deep story for the time and set a good precedent for the rest of the series.

This was fun. I'm looking forward to the next NGP.
