Square Enix have released a series of interviews on Final Fantasy XIV. They were also nice enough to throw up versions with different language subtitles, including English. Check 'em out below.

The interviews cover topics like character design, 3D modeling and animation and bringing the world of Eorzea to life among others. It's all very interesting, especially seeing the fluid and realistic animations made for almost every inhabitant of Eorzea. It's no wonder Square Enix recommends an i7 processor and a GTX 460 graphics card to have a smooth experience.

Final Fantasy XIV just keeps looking better everytime I look at it.

looks pretty good. only not exactly the type of MMO that I would play. To me SE games stand as having a main singleplayer storyline and an optional multiplayer option. And the graphics are pretty decent but for some reason I'm attracted to more of a chibi type of MMO cuz I've played like 4 chibi type ones and I liked most of them and I've played like 7 more realistic type games and I've only enjoyed 3. Not too good cuz they were all alike

Unless you've got the latest Macs with the i7 processors and actually decent graphic cards, I don't think it'll be able to handle it xD

And at that price, might at as well get a gaming rig.

That's what I have. Get a Mac Pro, can't go wrong Wink

Looking forward to FFXIV... even though I'm not much of an MMO player. So many of them share very similar design flaws, I'm hoping XIV doesn't fall into the same traps because I really want to enjoy it!

Looks pretty good. Too bad I'm not too much of an MMO kind of guy. If I ever decide to get it, let's just hope the console version is just as good.

I did the XIV Benchmark, and i have an i7 and just a 260GTX and still got almost 5K Points on Full HD. And to keep it real, it might be nice Graphics for an MMO
but its surely not the best, and it definetly dont needs a 460 to run smooth on ur system. dont believe every crap they tell u. its still $E.

I'll probably download and run the benchmark too.
I bought a middle range computer a few months ago, I wonder how it'll fair.

Will report back. ^_^

EDIT: Okay... Yeah. This is HEAVY stuff. I scored a lowly 510 points. XD An i3 with GeForce G210 pretty much won't cut it AT ALL.

Guessing I should wait for the PS3 version, if I get this. Tongue

Geez, my score was under 1000! I need a better graphics card. TO put it into context, the rest of my system spec reads thus:

Win7 64-bit
8-Core Intel Xeon 2.27
12 GB RAM
