I used to get really bitter when a sequel would be released on a different platform. But considering how many awesome games come out these days and the fact that there are often sequels that aren't as good as the originals, I don't really mind it any more.

I'll tell you what I DO mind. . . Freaking Xenoblade coming to the Wii. That hurts like nothing else.

Yeah, that and The Last Story are about the only decent games I play on mine. It was dust collector til this year. Xenoblade is amazing and The Last Story is really charming me at the moment. Here coming the holiday season the Wii will probably drop in price with WiiU's arrival. Xenoblade and Last Story are worth it (in my opinion). Xenoblade is hundreds of hours of gameplay.

So just three consoles at this point. A couple of which can be bought for fairly cheap now. Not the absolute best situation for the series but not awful either.

I'd note there as well, the 3DS is a MUCH better than DS/DSi for playing the DS titles. The circle pad is a life saver over DS's terrible D pad.

About a year or so ago I complained about this same thing on another forum and was attacked for it... People saying that I wasn't a true fan among others things... now a lot of the fans are saying this... oh well. Didn't really bother me. Thought those comments were immature anyway.

I did buy a PSP and 3DS brand new just for KH and I have all the games. I'd say I'm a true fan, right?

That being said I do wish I DIDN'T have to spend a lot of money KH being on one console would've been easier and cheaper...

However, I'm almost grateful for KH being on a number of consoles because I wouldn't have been able to play Crisis Core, FF4, Dissidia, Lunar, and PS1 classics while my parents watched TV if I didn't have a PSP. And if I didn't have a 3DS, I wouldn't have gotten Tales of the Abyss and therefore the other games in the Tales series.

What I do mind is that people might not play them because they are on portable consoles and are therefore considered "Spin-offs" which I don't believe they are. So some people can't play BBS or 3D for example because they don't have a PSP or 3DS. If I was Nomura, I would've stuck with the PS2 and then PS3.

From what I've read in different interviews, it seems Normura likes to experiment with different game plays on all kinds of consoles. As fun as it is to experience a new game play almost every time, it would be nice if he decided to take that direction and apply it to just one console more often than not.
