I'm really surprised that there hasn't been a thread for this already. Surely I'm not the only Golden Sun fan on Gaming Union?

Well, in the case that I'm correct about that, we should discuss the Golden Sun games here. What made you buy the games, and what made you keep playing them? Did you like the story? Are you excited for the sequel?

Personally, I had no clue what to expect from the games when I bought the first one-- I was in third grade, and it was basically an impulse buy (Gotta love awesome boxart Tongue). However, this was one of the few impulse buys I actually enjoyed-- the game gave me much more fun battle system than Pokemon (Again, I was in 3rd grade, didn't have much gaming variety), and a very engrossing story. By the time I got my hands on the second game, I had played GS1 to death.

And of course I'm excited for the sequel. The game looks like it'll play almost exactly like the first two games, which I'm perfectly fine with. (Don't try to fix something that isn't broken, right?) I'm also interested in seeing how all of Weyard has changed since the end of the second game-- I already know that the geography looks drastically different, but aside from the fact that Vale's been rebuilt and that Lord McCoy is no longer a lord, we know virtually nothing else.

Golden Sun is the best hand held RPG on the GBA i think.

Still need to buy GS2.

D: You're missing out on arguably the best RPG experience on the GBA, hon. :c

The Lost Age was pretty good. I personally prefer the first game more, but the second one added so many more Djinn and summons that it's almost hard for me to not say it's my favorite of the series. Plus, it wraps up the first game's events in a great way.

I love Golden Sun. I have since a friend of mine showed me on his GBA.

I've yet to beat GS2, but I think Felix is just awesome! He and Isaac should both be in the next Super Smash Bros Big Grin

It's for GBA?
I wonder if I'll like it more than Chain of Memories...
Doubt it, but I wanna play it! I miss GBA games. Classic, man.

Haha =P They should! It'd be awesome if they also included Alex. We've never really seen him fight before (The beginning of GS2 doesn't count), so it would be interesting.

Yep! But Dark Dawn's gonna be for the DS, of course. Tongue And I personally like the games more than CoM. Golden Sun's world is just so exciting.

I loved the first one so much i have replayed it multiple times and had leveled my characters to over the 30s. I have not played lost age because it was very hard for me to find. Either way they were very fun to play on the GBA.Smile

x3 That's another thing I like about the games, they've got alot of replay value! And you can probably find a copy of The Lost Age online for a cheap-ish price by now, you should definitely look into it.
