I think if Sony pulled this off, the game would get a huge number of additional sales and it would certainly be in their best interest to try.

As for who I'd want? If it were to happen, they would probably only allow one character. That means we're pretty much limited to either Cloud or Sephiroth - none of the others have a broad enough appeal.

Do Cloud and Sephiroth really have recognition and appeal with people that didn't start gaming until after the 90s? If the first system you had was an Xbox or a 360 the odds of you knowing who they are go way down and the odds that you'd at least recognize Lightning, like her or not, go way up. I'm 21 and I feel like I'm one of the last generations that you would expect to know of these people and games even if you never picked one up.

I agree with you Thundaga that Lightning would be the pick if their thoughts were on the latest audience, but I think they have a lot of nostalgia built in this. I mean, they got Parappa already. That's old school PS1 action! So I don't think they would limit to this gen if they wanted FF ^_^

The way I see it I don't think this game will have any JRPG characters unless they are exclusive to the PlayStation brand or if Sony can get the rights to the character as a 3rd party character(like with Sonic in Brawl). I hope I don't see Cloud, Lightning or any other Final Fantasy characters in Title Fight(I don't like calling it by it's real name).

I highly agree, I do not want anything that will only add to the incorrect perception that people have that Sony in any way owns Final Fantasy (it gets annoying dealing with Sony fanboys that think FF should be a sony exclusive franchise)

I think we all can agree at the very least that Playstation All-Stars Battle Royal is a terrible name XD
Even PASBR is too much to remember and a five letter acronym is hardly an acronym at all

Yeah it's a horrible name that's why I just call it by it's project name "Title Fight" it's easier to remember for me.

Well apparently Snake (Naked? Solid?) is in the game. Eric Ladin (Cole from infamaous) tweeted that he, Nolan North and David Hayter were "part of a great cast".

Like Final Fantasy, the Metal Gear series is a 3rd party property that is not exclusive to Playstation though very much identified with Playstation. So if they can get Snake in the game, maybe they can get Lightning, Cloud or Titus.
