Zero and I were talking about a similar topic several days ago, about how so many good shows get axed by studios before they get a proper ending.

So, basically, what shows do you guys enjoyed before they were canceled before they got their proper ending?

Most recently, the one show that I'm fixated on is The Finder. A spin-off show of the Bones series, it took a more quirky look at procedural dramas. I liked how The Finder was similar to one of my favorite show, Monk, at how our protagonist was and how their methods of finding criminal/objects was different to the norm. It's unfortunate that The Finder got canceled, especially since the last episode ended on such a cliffhanger, with everyone going their not-so-good separate ways. It would have been nice to have a second season, if only to wrap things up more nicely...

I'm just glad I stopped watching Alcatraz before it got axed. Same with the fact that I hated The River by the time it ended and got axed. Course a lot of these axed shows anymore are getting picked up by Netflix to continue production.

For me, I'd have to say that Journeyman, which only lasted 1 season was a great show that sadly got canned way before it should. This was a show that had a great 3 season potential, and yet they cut it just as the plot was getting real thick, simply because of the lack of ratings (it was in a timeslot where top competitors were, so it didn't stand a chance)

Then there was Lie To Me, which wound up pretty much getting pulled down along with a show show that got cancelled after 2 episodes called Lone Star. Lie To Me was great, Lone Star... not so much

Then there was Drive, which was slated for 12 episodes, but only lasted 6. and 2 of those 6 episodes were only online @_@

Maybe it doesn't count because it's getting a revival of sorts, but one of my all time favourite shows that only got two and a half seasons, Arrested Development.

I really liked Alcatraz! That sucks! I also liked Jericho. Anyone else remember that show with Skeet Ulrich?

Can't have a thread like this without at least mentioning Firefly. Although at least they had Serenity to round things off, and you could argue that it only became such a cult hit after (and for the greater part, because) it was axed.

There was also Heroes.. oh wait, that one started turning into a rabid dog so I guess it was good that they put it out of it's misery before it got any worst.

Lie To Me was pretty awesome. I came into it late in the game, but have enjoyed it on Netflix. Big Bummer.
