Well I done saw most of the UEFA Champions League final. I am disappointed for Bayern that they couldn't win it, I think they should have, but I cannot argue with the fact that Chelsea beat them on penalties. Anyone who can beat Bayern Munich on penalties deserves that trophy. I'm mostly disappointed for Tottenham though, as they worked really hard to get that 4th place spot in the Premier League this season and they'll have to be pushed out into the UEFA Europa League due to Chelsea's win.

In the IPL, KKR made a top 2 finish meaning we have an all important safety net in the playoff race for the title. Hopefully we won't need it, but if we do and we win the league anyway, you won't see me complaining! Tongue

Once again, if anyone is interested in any of the teams I support, check out the linked logo bar in my sig below. Wink

Football: Blue is the colour! Tongue Was a great final and the man of the match should of gone to Neuer. He is the world champ of goalkeepers and Peter Cech was amazing aswell as usual. Really was a Goalkeepers final.

Bayern had more than enough chances and Chelsea's defence was rock solid considering they were camped in their own half for most of the game.

Bad Luck to Tottenham, would of liked to see Arsenal or any of the Mancs get knocked off 4th but it just wasnt to be.

Well done to West Ham for getting back to the EPL

Rugby Union: Good to see Leinster beat Ulster and lift the Heineken Cup. And the Crusaders beat the Blues in a pretty convincing win in the Super 15

Yeah I saw most of the CL final as well, was happy for Chelsea actually. Always nice to get one over the Germans, especially on penalties, as they ALWAYS win on penalties Tongue

I hope Di Matteo gets the new contract he deserves. Also, I had no problem with John Terry going up to celebrate and lift the trophy. He was suspended for the match, and the match was over.

i get frustrated when people say that is was a fluke, because Bayern played better....they lost and good defending is no fluke and that is what chelsea did and they did it fantasticly they deserved the win. besides Bayern were to busy watching mario Gomez miss easy goals and taking too many touches, aswell as that Arjen Robben played terrible, he was way to greedy took to many shots and took a bad penalty that was simple to save. overall the right team won and well done to Didier Drogba!!!!

in other footballing news RVP wants to leave arsenal. so far he has 4 offers i know of.
Arsenal: £130,000 a week for 3 years
manchester city: £260,000 a week for 3 years
Juventus: £180,000 a week for 3 years
Anzhi: £300,000 a week for 3 years.
its incredible he earns £15 million a year, its incredibly dumb that a footballer is worth that much.....

Sephiroth: "Cloud... You'll never let go of the darkness..."
Cloud: "Shut up."

nice comeback cloud....

Xaldin: "Is this the end?"
[he then dies]"

this is how it is actually written in imdb....

In the IPL, Kolkata beat Delhi fairly convincingly in the first qualifier, catapulting us straight to the final! Big Grin All we need now is a little bit of luck and the trophy will be ours no doubt. Delhi were our strongest competition, but despite the win I certainly hope we don't see them again - hungry for revenge - in the final. As I write, the Chennai Super Kings have opened batting against the Mumbai Indians in the first eliminator and are currently 4-2 from 3 overs... not good.

Edit: Kolkata Knight Riders have won the Indian Premier League 2012! I am so happy, we beat defending double champions Chennai Super Kings on their own turf against the odds and chased down their total of 190 in 19.4 nerve-racking overs. It was hilarious as my dad is a Chennai fan and so watching together meant that every time one of us cheered the other groaned, but we both enjoyed it so much. Anyone with a slight interest in cricket really should check out the IPL next year.

Elsewhere, Mark Webber took the win in a fairly mundane Monaco F1 grand prix.
