the idea of collections is indeed a great way to bring fans to a franchise, i speak for myself because the only titles i played in the ps2 Era were FF, KH, tomb raider and god of war, i never played MGS or jak and daxter , but i played the ps3 ratchet and clank titles and i really want to play the ps2 titles as well, so a HD collection is a great way to play those titles, and for trophy hunters like me, 1 set of trophies per game its a really big bonus

The HD collections are great since they bring back older titles (such as from the PS2 to the PS3) back. Not everyone wants to buy and older console/handheld just for one game.

I just like the value for money on games that are quite literally classics. It's nice to go back to the roots of a series, and even better if it's something that you didn't experience first time around.

I really like HD Collections for the fact that I've never played most of these games before. I just bought the MGS HD Collection for $30 preowned . That's $10 a game and some of the best games of all time in the general perspective (I've not played them yet). I'm trying to get round to buying the Jak, Sly & Team Ico Collections. Also I'm going for the generic thing here by saying I want a Kingdom Hearts HD Collection because I want to play KH again but I know that one could be around the corner and I want TROPHIES.

I enjoyed the ICO and Shadow of the Colossus HD collection. The only issue I had was that I felt it was a bit glitchy. I ended up raging due to the glitches a bunch I do agree with you about the games missing. One of the main reasons I didn't want the MGS collection is because they don't even include MGS1 in it.. So I just got the MGS Collection with MGS on PS1 and MGS 2 and 3 on PS2

I love the idea of HD releases. It allows newcomers to experience the classics and for some to relive fond memories. All while avoiding the strain of adjusting one's eyes to standard definition, 4:3 aspect and grainy text on new televisions. I have the MGS ones and they are the best I've seen. Kojima takes a lot of pride in theirs, however they don't include them all, so it's kind of hard to call it a "Collection." I can't wait to get ahold of FFX and Zone of Enders!!!!!

What kind of glitches do you experience? Kinda bumming cause I was wanting to get it.

I never had any problems with the HD collection for either games, but I know the original games were pretty buggy and had a few technical hiccups. Did you ever play any of the original games Lauren? Also I also would appreciate a more specific description of what is happening for you?

I've not had any problems with Ico/SotC. o.0

And considering MGS is available on PSN, I think it's fair to only get the three games on disc... It would bump the price up higher if there were a fourth, and honestly, is it even possible to cram 4 games on one Blu-ray? XD
