I believe the idea of HD collections are great. It gives classic games the upgrades they deserve and allow people to replay some of their favorites or for people new to the games to enjoy the classic games they were without having to shell out a 100 dollars for an old system instead giving them the opportunity to buy the cheaper upgraded collections

Well if it makes you feel better for not getting MGS1 you still get the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 which are much harder to find than the original Metal Gear Solid which is only $10 on PSN.

And considering MGS is available on PSN, I think it's fair to only get the three games on disc... It would bump the price up higher if there were a fourth, and honestly, is it even possible to cram 4 games on one Blu-ray? XD

I just searched on Google and it seems that a lot of people have encountered glitches with Shadow of the Colossus HD - plenty of vids on YouTube too. No idea if they're new glitches or not though, they might have been in the original too.

I have at least 5 HD collection(J&D, Ico & SotC, MGS, Sly, and DMC). They are definitely worth it IMO, it gives me motivation to play them in different ways because of the trophies I want to get.

Exactly, a lot of the problems I complained about were things that people didn't necessarily experience when they played the original. Still managed to beat it.... but I doubt I'll ever play it again because the glitches were that bad... and yea, I bought the MGS 1 - 3 collection before the HD one was released... It gives me more of a reason to keep my PS2. That and Persona 4.

@Zeruel - I just don't think it ported well... There were some issues I had with the camera... it would just like move on its own... made the one boss ridiculously hard. I dunno how much different it was in the PS2 version, but it just seemed like a lot of the game was just frustrating with the main character falling all over the place constantly.. I realize that's part of the gameplay itself... but when I talked to people about how frustrated I was... they honestly didn't remember it being that way when they played it on the PS2... but I have heard horror stories of people having massive glitches. It just didn't seem like the fantastic game everyone made it out to be... Confused

HD collections can be great if they are done well and what I mean done well I mean where there is bonus content, new textures and effects added. The problem for me is the price too, It can sometimes add up a lot to just play PS2 game. I just hope it won't be a trend for companies keep releasing theses collections instead of them creating something new.

For the sake of curiosity. Considering the amount needed to install the xbox version (because it's about the only capacity to go on for the game) it takes about 11GB of space. A Blu-Ray is 60GB.

Safe to say, nothing really gets close to BR disk capacity. FF13 and MGS4 were probably the biggest games out there with their 1080 footage pushing mid 30s.

As for MGS on PSN. It's not HD ported. It would have been nice for at least a Wide Screened, updated controls, and cleaned text. More than the rest, it's just the principle I guess. Like getting Star Wars box set that doesn't include the first one. You can buy it separate, sure, but it's not a 'collection' then. Oh well.

Many people talk about it like "they should've at least given you a PSN code" (much in the same way Assassin's Creed Revelations gave you one for the original ACI). More people seemed annoyed/greedy at not having it included, rather than the fact it wasn't remastered. Tongue

@RedRose I wouldn't let this keep you from playing the Team Ico Collection. They are still two amazing games in my opinion. I would reccomend if you are worried about the game that you try and find a friend who has it and pick it up or gamefly it first if you really aren't sure if you should pick it up or not.

When you get the chance to actually play it I would love to hear what you think of the two games when you are done ^_^

Lastly does anyone else have any positive or negative comments about the Team Ico collection?
