E3 is several weeks gone but Final Fantasy Union is back to wrap it up while also talking about the new developments in the FF franchise. Darryl is joined by Colin and Lauren and they waste no time getting into the news. This week includes thoughts on the Agni's Philosophy tech demo, Square Enix changing their development, and a new Final Fantasy XI expansion.

After some fun ranting, they move over to the Burning Question. There are some great responses that the trio go through and then they announce the BQ for the next show: "Will Agni's Philosophy be a new IP or Final Fantasy XV?" And then, as always, they go into your questions. This week, they focus on one question which is which FF game would be best as a movie or television series?

The show rounds out with a fun remix from the original Final Fantasy game so stay tuned to the very end! Will SE survive the evolution of the games industry? Take a listen to hear what we think! Great Podcast, you guys! Been waiting for that one for awhile now...Also, is it just me or did Daryl sounded really irritated at the beginning with the posting questions? Well, I guess it's just me.

BQ answer: I think "Agni's Philosophy" will be an IP, rather Final Fantasy XV. To me, the style and the look doesn't feel like a true Final Fantasy Main Series game.
Also, yay! My question got on the Podcast!...I think!

Well, I think Agni's Philosophy should be a new IP because I think Agni's Philosophy doesn't look "appropriate" or suitable to be a Final Fantasy game. The art style is similar to Final Fantasy but the difference is still too great to be Final Fantasy XV. Nevertheless, I think it's still possible that Agni's Philosophy could be a Final Fantasy game but in that case, I think it should be treated as an experiment like Versus which is also quite different from standard main series games.

But, I believe the game should be a new IP because if this is a Final Fantasy game, everything including the gameplay, art style, story and many more will be restricted since all Final Fantasy games must somehow relate to each other one way or the other such and have something in common such as battle systems, summons and moogles.


And come on, I think it's time Square develops a new franchise that is as good (perhaps better)and equally as anticipated as the Final Fantasy franchise. Then maybe we will have an Agni's Philosophy podcast on the gaming union network in the future. Yay!

Great podcast. For the question you guys answered about a movie or TV show I was thinking FFXII could make a great movie, but remove the crappy cast of playable characters and focus entirely on the war and politics.

Great episode as always. I have to agree that Agni may never leave now, even if SquareEnix never wanted to make anything of it. It captured people and SquareEnix would tease it to the end of time just for free press. Similarly to FF7 Remake trolling.

Also in response to the question, I'd agree with Waldo on FF12 being a movie. It would have the large wars that movie buffs want anymore. For me, I'd love seeing more of the Judges and Politics in a better light.

However one that I think would be fitting outside of that would definitely be something like FF8 or FFX where there is a love interest. "World is ending let's band together to stop bad guy" just doesn't bod well in the US unless it's a comic book hero. So saving the world for said love interest just works better. Of the two, FFX would probably flow better as it was a semi-linear game and more story telling focused.

Regarding the last paragraph, I don't know. I think that kinda of story is exactly what we want and need now. I would like to see more of those anyway I know the Avengers is from a comic book, but that's not why I went to see it. Well, the first reason was because of Captain America (and my mom's was Thor) , but it looked like an awesome action/hero movie. My opinion though
