The character booster seems incredibly lame :/
And i really don't like the idea of story achievements like getting one after you finish a reactor or get out of midgar. Those are achievments in and of themselves, i think the little achievement pop-up would actually take away from the feeling of the accomplishment.
An achievement, or tiered achievements for defeating the weapons, maybe different levels for different times and survivors, and various ones at Gold Saucer make sense though.

hmm... runs heavier then the original release of the PC version, has achievements... hopefully the character models are touched up a bit, I mean aside from the obvious mouth addition that they had in the original PC version ^_^ Great job SE, you've temporarily toned down my want for a remake for now. Now just get it added on to Steam and then re-release FF8 ^_^

people who really want a proper remake will never shut up about wanting a remake until we have a proper remake. This is re-releasing a 1998 PC port of a 1997 console game to work better on 2012 computers. Nothing more. This really is no different then FF7 on PSN, except with achievements.

Sadly it probably won't, the passionate FF7 really want a remake and a port will not stop them. I am one of those fans and I will probably get it if it ever comes out, but I'm not gonna whine about it to a company like $E.

I was one of the few people who played Final Fantasy VII for the first time on the PC. I\'ve gotta say, I think the PC version is actually better. Crisper graphics and better soundtrack quality - boom.
