Wowzers... it's a shame he died... but seriously... how could you not eat for 40 hours? I can barely last like 5 hours without a snack of some sort otherwise I get massive hunger pains. But this is one of many cases I've heard where people have died playing games for too long... take breaks everyone! The game will still be there when you get back! RIP Sad

These stories are always awful, but the gamers have only themselves to blame. Perhaps you could question the gamer's mental state or the role of friends and family but at the end of the day you should be able to look after yourself really. Especially when it comes to eating, drinking and sleeping. Undecided

Zero's tips for marathon gaming

1. Take short breaks to deal with important bodily functions, including stretching (yes, stretching is important).
2. The aforementioned stretching breaks should be taken at least every 30 minutes. Everything else should be dealt with as needed
3. Make sure you have access to fluids, gaming is hard work and can help dehydrate you amazingly enough
4. Food should be available as needed.
5. Don't attempt a marathon gaming session if you really can't handle it (that includes taking care of what needs to be taken care of before, during, and after)

now, sadly, it's to late for this guy, but I'd like to hope that someone learns from these mistakes made by the poor fool.

Well, I can see where the kid was coming from. He probably didn't want to be left behind in level or something. Or he was addicted to the game so much, he even died for it. Well, at least he died doing something he loved, stupid or not. RIP

That is a pretty stupid way to die. Pretty embarrassing for the family but nonetheless RIP.

Yea right? This is just gonna give video games an even worse reputation thanks to this.
