Quote:Last month Atlus shared a peek at the pre-order bonus for their upcoming Nintendo 3DS title Code of Princess. With only a few months before the game's Western release they have another new look, this time being of the game's many unique playable characters.

Still looking forward to this game despite a few choices in attire. Looks like some amazing Guardian Heroes action!

"I'm not a zombie, I'm a necromancer.."

Oh btw, they already gave a release date for North America. It's confirmable on their website. October 9th ^_^

It's hilarious they couldn't even include the MAIN character of this game in the character montage at the end, simply for censorship. Why even design a character that way if you have to go so far out of your way to hide it? Inexcusable, and sort of idiotic.

Actually far from it. It's partially marketing and branding.

Atlus, who made the trailer, is the North American publisher. They are not the ones that created the game nor the character. Strictly, they are publishing to the North American market.

Now is it idiotic for them to censor it when selling it to North America? From a standpoint of people that desire animated partial nudity, sure. However from a business standpoint it's far from it. Censoring it in the trailer and on the cover provides them with a broader audience and more effective rating.

Now why the necromancer in whiteys was different, don't ask me.

Yes, yes, Zeruel, we all know you think that people acknowledging that sex exists and people like it is just about the downfall of the goddamn modern world.

*Sigh* Feel better? Was that really necessary? This is a community of gamers to discuss games, not get into petty personal fights. Move on.

Ain't worth my time.

I'm going to have to agree with Zeruel on this one while I am quite interested in this game, that outfit the main character is wearing is incredibly risqué.

If it's a community of gamers to discuss games, I'd personally appreciate it if you stopped having vapours like a 1950s housewife whenever sexuality in video games comes up. No one cares about your personal sexual politics.

I don't give a shit about seeing animated nudity -- in fact, I'm very against the objectification of women in games because I am a card-carrying, hairy-legged, extreme feminist, something that you will never see me mention again because unlike you, I realize that my social views are irrelevant to the discussion. But I respect someone's right to draw risque character designs and I think it's extremely silly that because of puritanical people like you, it's 20 goddamn 12 we're STILL censoring games.

Instead of saying "I think I'll get this but I just want everybody to know my eyeballs melted and rolled down my cheeks when I saw a boob and I'm not okay with that," just say "I had some misgivings, but I think I'll pick this one up!"

TL;DR: I agree, it's totally irrelevant. Now please stop talking about it all the damn time.

I'm not going to ask you again, please reframe from personal attacks. Just because other people say something on topic to a game that disagrees with your point of view does not permit you the right to personally attack them. This isn't RosaAquafire world where everyone must agree with your world view. But yet we all come together with respect for eachother's opinions. Sexual content in a game is a perfectly legitimate topic for someone to express their desire to get a game or not. Again this is a community of gamers, not a place for hostility.

You don't attack someone when they say "I wish God of War wasn't so gory, it looks like fun gameplay." You don't attack someone when they say "Catherine looks great but the puzzles are too difficult for my taste." All the same we don't attack someone for saying "This game looks great but the partial nudity is bothersome." No one is going to check with you every time they wish to speak to make sure it fits with your views. It's just assumed that everyone has a voice and must be respectful of others.

All the same if you're acceptant of that content, I respect your opinion. I'm fine that you wish to convey that. However that doesn't seem your goal here, but rather to slander someone off topic. That leaves no room for conversation nor respect. With that, you're welcome to continue this conversation with me in PM or not. I'm not going to further this here.
