I think that Lindzei might be the main focus for the villain, considering Etro is in this game. Etro and Lindzei are supposed to be enemies, I think.
I honestly think that Barthandelus is one of Lindzei's many disguises, and so was Galenth Dysley, as well . Of course, no one can be sure, unless Square somewhere specifically stated this is not so. I don't believe it's even clearly stated in the Ultimania Omega!
Anyhow, agreed, 100%. I can't believe Square actually thinks we learned anything (unless everyone sees Lindzei as a fallen god) regarding Pulse and Lindzei from XIII! How? Especially when we really only got some viewpoints from some of Gran Pulse's surrounding civilizations - obviously now dead. I want more - about the real Pulse and real Lindzei - but especially Lindzei.
Lastly, it makes sense to me that Lindzei and Etro would be at odds with each other. Even Etro and Pulse would be at odds. Her brothers were born to find the door to Muin, while protecting and then to awaken Buniberzei when that door was found. Etro was given a task from Muin herself, to protect the balance of the cosmos, seen and unseen. Through her giving a bit of the unknown to the creatures that sprang from her blood, she achieved that balance, though probably unknowingly.
I wouldn't be surprised if the brothers and sister are at odds.
In fact, I'll be surprised if they aren't, at least on some level.
Obviously, Galenth/Barthandelus got the point, and that it took some grand event to open a door powerful enough and wide enough to awaken the maker . I don't think rebirth was his sole objective.
To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if Muin or Etro, or Muin and then Etro is actually the balanced version of Dissidia's Cosmos and Chaos in one. Look at the woman's dress for the FNC - to me it looks very much like Cosmos'.
