I know I'm ripping this off of John's idea with Artemis Fowl but man these books are incredible. True, they have similar aspects to LOTR and Star Wars and other things, however for a 15 year old (when the author wrote Eragon) it is a marvelous piece of art by Christopher Paolini. The suspense keeps building in the books and it keeps you hanging which makes you want to read more. I currently own the first 3 books and am waiting for the 4th book. So, anyone like these books :3?

I adore the books, wasn't too high on the movie as it cut out alot of the stuff that made the original book awesome. But for a 15 year old, it was definitely incredible(the book). I'm still waiting on the 4th book to come out Smile.

haha -high fives- yeah the 4th is gonna be epic. But I agree, the actors for the movie (for example Eragon and Brom's actors) they worked but the plotline and story and how they acted it out was really stupid. I like the song though for it. Keep Holding on by Avril Lavigne

Can't wait for the 4th book. Never saw the movie. I wanted to, to see how they adapted the book into movie format, but after hearing a lot of negative things about it, I didn't watch it. Now, if he can hurry up with the 4th book. And there had better not be a fifth. Pulling a stunt like that in the third.

Yeah man if he makes a 5th I'm gonna be like SCREW YOU -borrows from friend- lol. Yeah the 3rd was gonna be the last but then I think CP said it was when Eragon made the decision in Helgrind CP said he was gonna make a new book entirely. And it also said in a 2010 interview that he was working on a very intense part of the book but was busy with family and friends >.> I'm hoping for a very epic book if it's taking him over 2 years when Brisingr took him 1 year

I'm going to get flamed for this, but I never really enjoyed the Eragon series very much. I bought the first book, expecting to love it, but I just couldn't get into it. I believe I'll try it again this summer, but the beginning is stretched and rather uneventful for a bit, and I couldn't bring myself to read through all that to get to the supposedly really amazing parts.

I actually REALLY enjoyed these books. The inheritance "cycle" (as it's now called) is one of my favourite series. The film was utter crap in all honesty, with a lot of key plot points cut out deliberately. However the books are incredible.
I have only read Eragon and Eldest so far and am waiting for 2 days free to read Brisingr in one go... but with work, thats not going to happen anytime soon.

Quick fun fact. The books were going to be called Eragon, Eldest and Empire - all beginning with the letter E, all with the same number of letters until that changed when it became more than a trilogy.

After completing FFX, even Chuck Norris bowed to Auron's epicness.
