Well, I don't see anyone else trying to make 3D affordable. If SE wants to make a 3D FF, They should try before going to more expensive 3D options.

True, but wouldn't it be more logical to wait for a newer generation system that's not handheld? I mean true, it might go kaplunk and they don't lose as much money as with a Wii or something but I mean if they wait for, for example, an 8th gen console from Nintendo (non handheld) and they save up moneyz and crap wouldn't it be logical to use 3D on that where they (probably) have a higher success rate of 3D actually working and being popular?

Only problem is that at the present, everyone is trying to jump onto the 3D bandwagon. If they try it now, they can work with it and improve when they do get consoles that can run 3D naturally.

Man they needa slow down. I mean 3D FF would look cool (if it works) but I mean I'm fine with the way games are atm and changing them would be kinda hard to adapt to since this is a completely new thing to gaming

Given how fast the industry is moving, it's jump on or die. Of course, if the 3D market crashed, they could be safe. Not to mention, Avatar opened up this realm of opportunities. Now that we see what 3D can do, everyone wants in. A 3D FF can just be like Avatar, immersing the player in the setting and not just throwing things at you.
