after reading this article, i'm really impressed with sony's direction, they aren't trying to reinvent gaming, just adding to it and that is what motion controllers should do, and they should always be optional, unless it's like a light gun game in 3d space, cause that would be awesome.

Sitting down and playing socom on the couch with motion aiming might just be the kind of thing that some people want out of their single player gaming, as it's an easier adjustment for those with no concept of dual sticks

any thoughts before Sony goes into the big show tomorrow

I really want to see the sorts of games that they apply this control set to, because I think that is just as defining as the control system itself.

It's interesting how it could be used for so much more than just general motion sensor games though.

As I have said elsewhere, I just hope Sony do not make the mistake that Microsoft made yesterday. Concentrating for well over an hour just on Kinect ruinied Microsoft's conference, and this gives Sony the opportunity to wipe the floor with Xbox at E3. As long as they don't do the same thing. I want some proper interesting games announcements and surprises, and just a little on Move today.

I'd agree with that. They made it look better than Wii and Natal and still gave the true point of the conference - games - most of the airtime. It was well worked and I was impressed by move. It has a reasonable price tag too.
