Define bad reviews? Nowadays if anything isn't over 90 people seem unsatisfied. Despite that many games in the 80's (GT5, FF13) I feel are way better than games in the 90's. (Generic Call Of Duty release, Gears Of Way etc)

If you mean FFXIV level reviews that isn't going to happen with 13-2 or Versus XIII because the teams behind those games have never made a game below 80 metacritic (Yes even FFX-2 is 84 on metacritic), they aren't going to see such a humungous dive in quality out of nowhere.

I could never abandon a company that gave me great games like FF12 and FF13. I would miss out on some of my best gaming experiences if I did and even if FF13-2 and Versus 13 get bad reviews that would just be a rare miss from SE, so won't bother me much.

I will follow Square Enix to the grave, a grave that shall never come as Square-Enix lives beyond the threads of time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can't let metacritic or Game Ranking Percentages to get you done what maters is your personal opinion about the Games you love.

SE have only delivered one bd game in resent memory and that is FFIV but that is an MMORPG made by a totally unrelated team to the offline FF Games. Just enjoy SE Games for what they are and not because of numbers atased to them on sites like metacritic.

I admit I will buy 13-2 even though 13 was in some respects a bit of a let-down. Why? Because I can't say 13 let me down completely. I enjoyed many aspects of it ^_^ and am a general fan of Final Fantasy ever since I started the series with VIII. Of course I'll buy them all and enjoy them as much as possible :-D

@Darth , actually sorta I didn't really buy 12 (got it for free), started 3 times and never finished once so yeah that's a pretty bad game (not horrible but bad)
as for why angry at 13? it's more of a disappointment thing rather than a hate thing

Yeah, that's a fair point actually... Though I am hankering after the release of Versus XIII, there are definitely enough games to entertain me this year. I haven't picked up Mass Effect 2 yet because I'm still on playing GT5,and then there's all sorts due later this year. I just do like my fair share of FF in the mix.

Ok I can see why you might think 13 was disappointing on some levels, like I have said some times before if the characters and story don't grab you in XIII, the whole weight of the game falls on the shoulders of the excellent battle system, and eventually there might be a breaking point. Luckily for me I loved everything, but I am glad you can at least call it a good game.

On FF12, I would understand if you were disappointed by it (so was I a bit at the time) but I simply can't understand why it can be called a bad game. It is my weakest game in the series but I still give it 9/10 because there were so many things I liked.

I will say this, try to get to the 20 hour mark in FF12, thats when the story really picks up, because I assume if you stopped playing it like that the characters and story probably didn't catch you. Push yourself till there and then you should keep on playing, there is so much to discover and like in the game! If the gambits bore you simply turn them off and play it by pausing and controlling each character in battle (will get hectic in boss battles though).

If you still don't like FF12 after that then thats fine, but would be cool if you could get to the bit where the game shines!

Seriously, although i like FF 13, it still DOES have problems and it can't compare to some older FFs.
So if SE messes up with 13-2 and VS 13 = makes them worse then i/we expected , i really will lost more love with my beloved FF.And I won't base on the reviews. I will base on myself.

Haha, maybe, but I doubt it. I did actually make a thread about Haeresis XIII years ago (two years ago tomorrow, in fact), but it was and is simply a patented name. There're theories that FF XIV was going to be Haeresis when that was announced too that was codenamed "Rapture" during development), but unless Square decide to officially say anything about it, it's just speculation about an unused name.
