Well as we all know (or most of us know), Nomura said that he is planning 2 new titles and is planning to release 1 new one each year. I say that KH is an amazing series that will stay with me for a very long time but I think this is taking it too far. The KH series (with spinoffs) has 6 games counting BBS and RE: COM. I accept FF still despite having a ginormous amount of games because the main titles (1-14) have almost nothing to do with each other so they don't interfere with the players' love for the series. KH games all interact in some way. Making too many games of the same thing will drag it on and make it annoying and too long. What do you guys think?

well im hoping we see a KH3 before any more spinoffs. other than that im completely fine with them, as long as they are relevant

but i mean imagine in several years 14 KH games like FF but they all intertwine and SE runs out of storylines to use. What then?

If they run out of storylines then i'm sure the series will have ended by then. Nomura has already stated that Sora will be the main character with the story revolving around him in the end so it goes without saying that Nomura already has a plan for the series. The MAIN series that is.

These spin-off games are just there to keep fans going, if they didn't exist, too much time would pass between each game and things would be similar to say..Half Life: Episode 3 where fans have pretty much given up on it coming out. I think KH fans can stay happy in the knowledge that their series is still being thought of and the games are coming.

1 game a year is not so bad, it's definetly better than not getting any at all and it's better than too many games, let's face it, if you feel that the games are coming out too close to each other you could just wait on the second one to be released and simply play it later.

If the story getting too convoluted is your problem then i'm sure some people will make some sort of book or online guide as to how the story goes, i doubt that would need to be the case but think about this:
Star Wars has spanned 6 films (lets forget the clone wars, cartoons, etc) the story is a bit hard to take in at first but everyone seems to know it. I'm sure KH will be the same and i doubt there will be that many more games, in the main series anyway.

True, I guess I'm overthinking this. Sorry. Just pointing out that Spin offs are good but TOO MANY spinoffs would kill the series and if Nomura does too many main series games instead then it would do the same. I hope he balances it equally so we don't get tired of the main series and the spin offs
