Articles and reviews could probably load quicker and better if they were part of an app designed specifically for content from the site-- heck, maybe even the podcasts could be streamed directly form the app, for those who are near a Wi-Fi hotspot but don't feel like waiting for the podcasts to finish downloading on iTunes. If a GU app were developed, I'd buy it.

I agree. Though I still don't see why you shouldn't just take 20 seconds more to get on the web. And by the way, I have no problem with Safari on the ipad, as my experience with an ipad at the apple store(I wish I had the money to buy it...) was very enjoyable.
