So excited for Steam... yeah, except it's not installing right...
Everything was good so far, I was very excited to play Portal...
So after I had my mom authenticate the Steam drop into my Applications folder, I checked it and it was there, looking safe and sound. Pretty cute for an application.
I double-clicked it, ready to dance around, when suddenly, this popped up...

Obviously, I'm online. And doubly obviously, I need to clear up my desktop. It resembles my room.
My best guess for the not working thingy is because I'm not an administrator, and sometimes websites I try to access get blocked. So, if Steam needs to check an address and it's blocked then of course it wouldn't work.
I'm going to try this soon, but I thought in case anyone knew a quick fix for this they could help.

it does look like you might need some privledges to access the installer. This is a common problem on windows as well

If you can, try and load the installer as an admin, i know there is an option when you "right" click in windows, not sure how in Macintosh OS's though

Yups. Gonna try that, though I've been distracted with Chex Quest...

EDIT: Oh, that fails! It will only work on my mom's administrative setting...
Does anyone know the web location that Steam uses to try to update? Because if I could unblock that, then everything would work.
