This is truly a sad day. Eddie Carroll, the voice of Jiminy Cricket, passed away on April 6th, 2010 at the age of 76. Following the death of Cliff Edwards, Jiminyâs original voice actor from Walt Disneyâs Pinocchio , in 1971, Carroll had since provided the voice of the Cricket in many works of Disney media including âMickeyâs Christmas Carolâ, âDisney Sing-Along Songsâ and âHouse of Mouseâ . Eddie Carroll had also provided the voice for the three major KINGDOM HEARTS titles, KINGDOM HEARTS, KINGDOM HEARTS: CHAIN OF MEMORIES, and KINGDOM HEARTS II. We as a fan community should honor and pay respect to this fine actor who has given his voice to one of Disneyâs most memorable characters these past 39 years. I know I most certainly will. So letâs all tip our hats and âGive A Little Whistleâ to Mr. Eddie Carroll, ladies and gentlemen, Rest In Peace Eddieâ¦you will be missed. And remember to always let your conscience be your guideâ¦
