All right, so I am watching THE PLACE PROMISED IN OUR EARLY DAYS (Makoto Shinkai), and boy, is it depressing! Not to the extent to make you cry (not yet anyway, I'm in the middle of it right now), but it makes you fell kind of "duh..." for a bit. So what other movies have you watched that did not make you cry, but stay in a "duh..." mode from the depressing way it is presented?
For me, Voices of a Distant Star.

My dog Skip. God that's depressing. And the end of Saving Private Ryan.

I've actually never heard of either of those movies. Though I'm socially retarded according to my friends, so I guess I wouldn't.Tongue

Do crap movies count as depressing?
Cos I'd pick the live action Resident Evil films if that's the case >.>

Admittedly, I actually kind of like watching depressing mivies, as long as it's not TOO sad. I'm scared to watch "Grave of the Fireflies", because I don't really want to ball my eyesout in horror of children dying...

I dont believe the whole film to be depressing, but there are some films/series that have made me cry. Ok i cry at almost anything, but these ones more so Tongue

Marley & Me
The Green Mile (Can't believe this hasn't been suggested already!)
Made of Honour
Nana (only a couple of episodes in O.o)
Grey's Anatomy (regularly xD)

I also wanted to see 'My sister's Keeper' but no one would come see it with me cause it looked too sad
